The fall of the Winter Moon pack angered Agnar and that's when he began making moves to take the throne. He now was Alpha to the largest known pack. He began taking in warriors from the packs that did not have Alpha’s any longer. He ensured they pledged loyalty and if there was the slightest bit of questioning it he killed them. I continued, striking and dodging as the warriors came at me from different directions. Eventually, the three men backed away, exhausted. Kael nodded. “Better.” I bent forward, struggling to catch my breath. This is harder than I thought. Nyra replied. ‘It’s for your own good’ I straightened and glared at Kael. A smile curled across his lips. Then he turned toward the warriors. “Now, five.” What did he just say? The warriors exchanged tired looks before slowly moving back into position. “What do you mean, five?” I asked.

Even though I am part wolf, he follows me and my orders nonetheless. Rage pulsed in my veins, my neck beginning to throb. I immediately linked with all other warriors outside their posts. “We have a trespasser. A male, part witch and part werewolf. Find him at all costs! And do not disappoint me,” I roared, making sure they got the message correctly. All my warriors responded with a huff. They knew what I meant when I ask them not to disappoint me, that is to come back with desired results, or it will be the end for their lives.

Maggie grunted, stepped forward and grabbed her by her long red mane. “AHH!” Valeen yelled as she swung her fists in the air. “Let go!” Maggie swung her around by her red mane with both hands tightly secured to her scalp. “I couldn’t find the toilet brush, but I guess this messy bush will do.” “Oh, God! I said goodbye to Anna and headed to find Nel. He was out at the training grounds along with about half the pack. Ever since word of how big this rogue problem is got out the pack members have stepped up their training. The few who had only taken beginner were now in the advanced class working on attack moves and Nel had created an elite training class for the top warriors to advance even more. I had watched as this pack went into potential war mode, and while it didn’t look a ton different from the grand scheme of things, the overall moral and little details had changed it was a different air around.

However, the agility I noticed in new warriors was out of this world. They were faster than lycans, precisely predicting their moves, and successfully countering them. They were literally unstoppable. Their claws were like iron, unbreakable, even I had to hit twice just to cut off a wolf’s head. Although I admired the sight of exceptional soldiers, it wasn’t in my favor. The destruction they caused had turned my victory into defeat. Unable to stop them on my own, I mind-linked Beta James. “Send a stand-by group of warriors to the North border. Be quick!”

We were able to communicate even during combat, thanks to radios and encrypted communication protocols, but the frequencies were restricted to Alphas and head warriors only. We could feel the tension among our warriors. The type of tension that engages excitement and caution within a being. “Does everyone have a target in sight?” Cole asked, as we caught sight of the entrance and the guards protecting it. “Yes,” everyone affirmed. “Move in,” Cole commanded. Our warriors were well trained. Nobody knew they were present until the warriors were on top of them. “Destroyed, destroyed, destroyed,” we kept hearing through our pack link. Targets were being neutralized. Cole and I moved forward, eyes focused straight ahead, while continuing to scan for other threats.
