She approached us, placed her hand over our joined hands, prayed to Selene, and nodded to Jackson. “I, Jackson, Alpha of the Silver Moon pack, declare you, my mate Loreen Liira of the Silver Moon pack, our Luna—the Luna who will stand beside me to lead and protect our pack,” Jackson proclaimed. “I, Loreen Liira, born of the Lunar Eclipse pack and now a member of the Silver Moon pack, accept the title of Luna to Alpha Jackson and to our Silver Moon pack,” I said, locking eyes with him.

I answer the phone immediately saying the code we came up with so he knows to speak freely “She turns 18 tomorrow she will find her mate at midnight tonight after her first shift don’t do anything yet but keep her close grovel apologize whatever it takes just keep her close” and with that he hangs up leaving my head swimming even more and the anger even more noticeable. And, when the time comes, she will bear the future heir of the pack. All honorable Alphas respect their Luna too much to act out their true fantasies on,” I said, echoing the words first said to me when I learnt of my fate.

His worried eyes meet mine and I shift just as I hear Emlyn’s voice. “I, Emlyn Grace Gunnar-Holstin, accept my role as mate to Alpha Richard Clint Holstin and Luna of the Shadow Falls pack. I promise to honor and protect the pack with my love and my life if necessary.” I turn, gasping as Emlyn slices Rich’s palm, licking his blood to officially make herself the Luna of Shadow Falls pack. I realize that the entire pack that has been here fighting is watching her, needing a leader to guide them.

He fist bumped Wes, and they laughed before Wes moved in front of Nolan, grabbing his hand as he’d done to Reid. “Nolan Ulysses Shepard. Do you promise to lead Crescent Lake to the best of your ability? Do you promise to protect your luna, to stand by her side or in front of her as the situation calls for? Do you promise to support her in whatever way she needs?
