The Alphas Pen Pal Novels & Stories

Sitting down I find the information for the different packs and look up Black Moon. It was difficult to press the numbers, ultimately I didn’t know what I was letting myself in for and kept putting the phone down before I had even fully dialled. Eventually I typed the numbers in “Black Moon” “Hello, this is Alpha Max Royal of Midnight Moon, I would like to arrange a meeting with the Alpha of Black Moon” A laugh erupts down the line and asks me if I am certain I would like to do that “Yes and it’s urgent, I believe we have a mutual enemy”

“Gee, thanks, Kline. I’m glad I’m not dead, too.” “Do you know what’s going to happen?” “Not since the moment I smelled him in that shitty diner I should’ve burned down years ago,” I say. I didn’t mean for it to sound funny, but I see the corner of his mouth twitch anyway. “Alphas don’t plateau, Greer. They escalate.” My mouth goes dry. I tear my eyes away and stare down the coastline, trying to slow my breathing. It doesn’t work. “That means what, exactly?” I ask.

Past Naomi and Tessa’s worried voices, past the crowd and the flashing lights and the questions buzzing in the air. Out. I just needed out. The cold air outside hit me like a slap. I stumbled down the stone steps into the garden behind the Alpha mansion, my breath ragged, my heart pounding like it was trying to break free from my chest. No. No, no, no. This couldn’t be real. They couldn’t be my mates. Anyone but them. I found the old stone railing at the far end of the garden and gripped it with trembling fingers. My wolf whimpered in my chest, longing for them. Longing. Like she was desperate to return to something we had waited for our whole lives.

“Perhaps... one day.” Standing in the dim glow of his study, Alpha gazed out the tall arched window, overlooking the sprawling gardens below. The crescent moon bathed the world in silver, casting a tranquil light over the scene. He imagined her laughter weaving through the stillness, her presence breathing life into the empty halls. Taking the optimistic approach, Alpha Quillalon smiled, he wasn’t returning to an empty manor; he was returning to a possibility. A possibility that Vesper might one day feel for him what he had long felt for her.

I wanted to believe Nanny Linda more than anything. At school in Red Moon Pack, I heard the older kids whispering. "Did you know Alpha rejected and banished his true mate? The wolfless one." "They say he still keeps all her portraits in his office. He almost punished Luna Selene publicly when she tried to take them down."

He is not the kind of man who complains or tries to talk, because I have never seen that old man open his mouth during all the meetings we attended together. ‘Mr. Ryker Lockwood, I would like to inform you that we have found an Alpha who has a mate and is ready to take over our pack, as all of us believe that we need a strong Alpha who has a Luna by his side, and you don't agree with that, but we believe that if the Moon Goddess has made something, it's important, and history says that the mate bond makes you stronger, so I'm writing this to invite you for the Alpha duel.’ I sigh after reading his long message. That's the most words I ever got from him. I wish I could hear his words in his t

“For me?” Malcolm, who’s been standing like a silent wall behind him, looks equally curious. I take the letter with a slightly trembling hand, adjusting my glasses on the bridge of my nose.. The glasses help, but even now I have to squint a little to make out the neat, looping handwriting. ‘To the Moonfire Healer, Stacy White, The Alpha Prime requests your presence at the Capital City for the upcoming Junior Alphas’ Gala in two days’ time. Your exceptional service during the wolf fever epidemic has not gone unnoticed. It is his wish to honor you for your bravery and healing prowess before all Alphas.’

I nodded, wanting to suggest that the contract also state he wouldn’t try to seduce me, but I knew enough about werewolf culture to know I could never suggest that for an alpha. I looked down at the contract and read it through carefully once more. “I need a pen, please,” I said, looking at the beta, whose name I needed to learn. He pulled a plain but obviously high-quality fountain pen from his breast pocket and handed it to me. I used Chloe’s little nightstand as a desk and signed the paper, and then handed the pen back to the beta and the contract to the alpha. They both took the items with a little nod.

the Beta bowed before taking his leave. The Alpha leaned back in his high chair, a small smirk lifting the corner of his mouth as he twirled the pen in his right hand, ‘Finally showing a little stubborn side, huh? I’d like to see what you’ll do next,’ he thought. 'As long as you don't go out of bounds again, I'll not kill you, mate'

More than the fact that the Alphas used the outdated form of communication, I was more surprised that they thought their threats would scare me. It only served in making me angrier, and I grabbed out my pen and some sheets of paper as I started to write. On each A4 paper, I quickly scribbled six words: "Don't tell me what to do." As I did so, I repeatedly said the words in my head. After some minutes, I got to the last message but unlike the others, this was from one of my Alpha friends and he was requesting a hang out.
