As I entered the living room, Jim and Liam were engrossed in a game, oblivious to the chaos that had just unfolded in the bathroom. I couldn’t help but smile as I watched Liam, even though my hair remained a disheveled, paint-splattered mess. That kid is adorable.
Jim looked up as I approached, his concern evident. “Amy, what happened in there? I heard you scream, and I thought something terrible had happened.”
I sighed, trying to contain my embarrassment, and removed the beanie. “It’s nothing, Jim. Just a minor accident with my shampoo bottle. I got startled and thought I was bleeding or something, but it was just paint.”
