His voice was softer now but was still filled with the same authority. Like he was someone who expected to be answered. I swallowed hard. "I... I'm fine Professor Xavier" He looked at me for a moment. "You're lying. And no one calls me Professor Xavier; just Xavier is fine," he continued.

I said through my gritted teeth, my eyes glaring at the images of my wife and her new professor in the empty cafeteria. I immediately called my beta and said, “Benjamin…” Before I could tell anything, Benjamin's shaky voice cut me in, “Alpha Xander, are you okay? I am coming to our pack house right now. Are you alright?” I was vexed by how worried people around me were. I said nonchalantly, “Stop it! I am not dead yet. A new doctor professor got appointed in the Lennon Hospital. I am sending his image to you. I want every fucking detail about him.”

He turns around, about to answer the student and our eyes meet. My breath stops. I can’t believe my eyes. Because standing in front of the class is the man who kissed me like he owned the night, the man I left in a hotel bed this morning…is my professor, the new visiting professor. And he looks just as shocked as I feel. Then his expression changes, it hardens. Like recognition is the last thing he wanted. And I know… my life is about to get even more complicated.

I told her, trying to act casual. “Hello everybody. I am Professor Atlas, your combat instructor,” Professor Atlas said breaking into our conversations. His voice boomed across the arena silencing the entire room immediately. Professor Atlas was a tall and buff-looking man with a buzz cut and tattoos going up his arms and across his torso. He stood in front of everybody wearing nothing but a pair of sweatpants. His shirt was removed, revealing his abs and I could tell from the ladies around the room, that he was swoon-worthy. However, I didn’t feel the same attraction to him as I would to Xaden.

The halls are a bit quiet, with only two to three students pacing the corridors. "Four." Azalea peaked inside, noticing the semi-empty classroom. She's sure she counted about ten students. Her eyes then landed on her professor. He's dressed like any other male professor. Khaki pants, white button up, circular glasses, all the usual. Only thing that's different about him and the others is that he's got just a few strands of grey and he looks like the gym's best friend. He set the marker down and turned to the class. Just as she was building up the courage to face Professor Wellesley, Professor McClone walked in. "Good morning, class. I'll be taking over today's lesson. The professor.” I froze for half a second, then glared at him. “She’s not our professor. We graduated. She wasn’t even at the school when we were there.” “Doesn’t matter, man.” Jake laughed, stretching back. “She’s got that look, strict, smart, way too hot for her own good. If she was around back then? Every guy on the team would’ve lined up for a shot.”

Fairy lights wrapped around the railings, casting a soft glow. Jaxon sat at the table, dressed in a sleeveless hoodie. His black hair was messier than usual, and on his nose sat a pair of sleek glasses that made him look sinfully intellectual. My gaze lingered on the inked fangs on his bicep and the faint scars decorating his forearms. He didn't look like a professor. He looked like a warrior pretending to blend in. I paused for a moment, watching him scroll on his phone with his brows slightly furrowed. It had to be an effect of the mate bond. It was the only explanation for how attractive he looked to me.
