My eyes traced the lines of his broad back, the way his tailored shirt stretched taut across his shoulders even in his weakened state.
I couldn't believe myself!
The sound of rushing water echoed in the small office, he was splashing water on his face. And a moment later, he emerged, patting his face dry with a paper towel. His dark hair was damp, a few strands clinging to his forehead, making him look younger, less like the heavily duty composed professor and more like… a man.
A vulnerable, exhausted man.
He leaned back against the doorframe, crossing his arms over his chest, the fabric of his shirt tightening across what I knew was a well-defined torso.
