Twisted Pain
I went to my room, played my favorite song, took a shower, got into my PJs, dried my hair, tried them on in a braid, and hopped onto the bed with my laptops and snacks.
This was my kind of Netflix and Chill.
When I opened my eyes to my phone’s caller tune, the first thing that came to my eyes was darkness. It was the darkest night I had ever seen. I checked the time with one eye and the other one didn’t reciprocate; the time was ticking at 2 am.
I received the call without checking the name as my eyes were protesting to open.
“Hello,” I murmured in sleep.
“Did you call him?”
“Who?”
