I did not look at him; I was only waiting for his reply. "Alpha, Natalia is an Alpha female, a powerful woman. She can get any man she wants."

He turned away from her so she could only see his profile. Nyla had never considered her name before. Did regular humans think about why they were called humans? “No.” “Menhit is the goddess of war in ancient Egyptian culture,” he told her. “She was pictured as a lioness. Her name literally means ‘one who massacres.’”

“How long ago did she come into her powers?” “They were awakened yesterday, according to Zeus. She is already training to control the powers that have shown themselves. Being Gaia’s daughter means that she is my sister. I mean her no harm and as for the others, they have never hurt me. My quarrel has always been with Zeus and now he is threatening everyone. He does not care that killing the new goddess could start a war with your God. Zeus is an idiot child with an inferiority complex when it comes to women. So, will you help me?” I asked. “I will help you cut the link in your mind. What is it that you may need me for beyond that?” Najera asked.

he says, exhaling out the weight of his words. I can feel my eye twitching as I try to comprehend what the fuck he just said, but I can tell there’s more, so I just nod for him to continue. “Go on.” He looks surprised, but continues, “Zarseti is known as the Goddess of Peace and Love. She possesses the ability to see every soul in the universe and pair those that are best for each other. She chose you for me. I was shocked and a little appalled at first, I will admit.”

I turn back to my kit, feeling significantly lighter now that I have poked his ego. Kael swallows the cold water, his golden eyes tracking my form as I organize the silver instruments. She wasted no time, urging me to meet her at a specified location within a mere two hours. The question echoed in my mind: What could this meeting possibly entail? Would it be a perilous adventure or an exhilarating experience? I tried to rein in my imagination, but my thoughts spiralled out of control, refusing to be tamed.

The fact that they are both males is concerning…”

He was looking up at the large building and with his enhanced hearing, he caught the sound of Silver growling gently. "Do you think we should have approached her earlier Zane?" Onyx asked. "I don't think so Onyx." Zane got out of the car and leaned on the door with his hands in his pockets. "She isn't just any type of Alpha Onyx. She's a female alpha, the very first female alpha to exist. She's dominant, brutal and I don't think she would want any alpha by her unless she wants a beta." Onyx rolled his eyes before keeping quiet looking at what Zane would do next.
