Then she dug around in her satchel before pulling out an old, leather-bound book. The binding was worn and cracking, and the cover was faded with the crest of House Aurelian. She opened it carefully and turned the pages with a brittle whisper before pausing.

He started reading the list of books his sister needed. Although he sometimes scolded his sister, Charles loved Jane deeply. Their busy parents had given Jane less attention to her family. As a result, she spent more time with Charles. Cyra had found several books, with only one left to go. After some more searching, she finally found the last book she was looking for.

"I can't get a hold of Charles. I called like, thirty times, but I think he's blocked my number. And I saw on TV that he's marrying the Alpha's daughter? What's going on?" Nora gulped silently when she saw the rage on the vice principal’s face, which was almost identical to Alex. Snapping the pen on the table, he stood angrily and pointed at Nora. “Didn’t I already give you a warning? Why can’t you stop making trouble for this school?” Nora rebuked. “Sir, please don’t accuse me falsely. Can you at least tell me what have I done?” As far as she remembered, she had been obediently staying far, far away from both Charlie and Alex Rivera. So what was he fussing about? “You don’t know? Then how do you explain this” Charlie picked up a stack of papers and tossed it at Nora.
