The Alpha Kings And Their Stripper Mate

The Alpha Kings And Their Stripper Mate

They descended on her like predators, and Eve realized with startling clarity that last night had been gentle compared to what they were capable of. This was just the beginning. And she had one hundred and nineteen more nights to survive.

Broken Vows, New Promises

Broken Vows, New Promises

The morning light fell softly into the hidden chamber, illuminating the smooth steel walls and the rows of sealed data drives. But all eyes were on the small, gold-flecked pod where Eve’s successor—this new life—had just awakened. Damien, Aurora, and Null stood in a half-circle, heartbeats synchronized in anticipation.

ECHOES OF THE PAST

ECHOES OF THE PAST

But alone in darkness with my daughter sleeping beside me, the terror was harder to control. Around three a.m., Elara began crying out in her sleep. Not quite screaming but distressed vocalization that suggested nightmares. I woke her gently. "What were you dreaming?" "Geneva," she gasped. "The facility. Underground. So many children. Some in the educational areas Daddy saw. But more in deeper sections he didn't see. Children who've been there so long they don't remember having families. Children who are part of the consciousness network already. Connected and controlled and not really themselves anymore."

Broken Mirrors of Truth

Broken Mirrors of Truth

As she completed her night-time rituals, the clock neared 3 in the morning. Exhaustion draped over her like a heavy blanket after the day's journey and the emotional rollercoaster of the reunion. With a soft whisper of "good night" to herself, she surrendered to the embrace of sleep. The room, once filled with echoes of memories, now embraced tranquility, and Ezra welcomed the solace that nightfall brought.

Moonbound

Moonbound

After midnight, the city tested the house the way a patient tests a healed scar. Dreams came to the cousins first. Chairs tilted. Bells rang in halls that had sworn not to. A woman who had survived three winters by washing other people’s grief out of shirts woke to find her hands folded as if in prayer. A boy sat up with a scream he forgave himself for before breath had finished apologizing. Silas, in his room, put a hand to his chest and admired the instrument he had tuned even as he refused to name it aloud: The Vigil of Keeps—a citywide sleep in which appetites could be sanctified without mess. In the Valehart study, where the lamp learned green nightly and the hinge had the sill, Evelyn

Nightfall Chronicles

Nightfall Chronicles

Now a once-whole blue planet floated with just particles of itself as it drifted across this dark, lifeless plain. In a different plane lied a primordial creature of the night finding solace in the eternal night that plagued his castle, the whistle and Chimes of fate had stirred his old blood awake. He knew that times were finally changing, and it seemed he had to get back to the game. "I wonder how Netherndel is faring, it's time I get back" his deep red eyes shone with a dangerous glint as he looked across the darkness, his eyes seemed to bypass the veil between planes for his gaze had a godly presence that came with it.

Call of Night

Call of Night

Yanking against the restraints, he jerks his head forward and back over and over, until Tabatha drops the bowl. “Stop!” she cries. “He can’t…his body can’t…he needs to take a break.” With tears running down her face, she goes up to her only son and places her hand on his head. “Somnum,” she whispers, and the sleeping spell takes effect immediately. Evander’s body slumps forward, head hanging against his chest. I can feel Ruth’s eyes on me, but she’s not stupid. She knows how dire the stakes are right now, and shifting her attention away from Evander will make her look heartless in the eyes of the coven. I know she’s heartless, but the rest don’t.

One Night

One Night

I usually set my alarm for 7 am, then head out to help prepare Gavin's family breakfast. I opened my eyes wide as I realized that my bottom was in a lot of pain. I bit my lower lip, and my memory reflexively rewound. Last night wasn't a dream. Gavin's warm caress was still there. He really came for me and filled my night with warmth. It was not like before that I thought that what Gavin had done last night was a dream. But what if it was just a dream? I turned my head slowly to confirm who was sleeping beside me. For a moment, I rounded my eyes to stare at the man who was still asleep under the blanket with a shady face. I shook my head, unable to believe what the man was doing.

The Nightmare

The Nightmare

I don't know how to live without her in my life. Mom and Dad came to see Clay and I after the meeting last night. They tried to keep me hopeful and it worked for a while. It worked until I had to go back to our room alone. It worked until I had to get ready for bed without her. It worked until I had to crawl into an ice cold bed. I barely slept last night and when I did, I was tormented with dreams of her that quickly turned into nightmares of her suffering at the hands of her captors. I awoke with a start. I couldn't move for a few moments. I was hoping that what I saw was a figment of my brain and not what was really happening or would happen to her. I drug myself out of bed and showered a

Great book. Well paced, intriguing characters with very solid world building. My one qualm is that there are, at times, too many characters. Often there are a lot of names being thrown around and its hard to tell who's who.

Nightmares

Then the thoughts began to unfold, but for one reason or the other, the ghostly call was left out. She remembered the last night her mom was around, before traveling. Baron was awake all night, writing farm records, jotting expenditures, sales and management records of his ranch. He was calling people and receiving calls, sending and receiving e-mails. The three of them were together in the living room for a long time before Juana and her mother left him there, and Juana had slept in her parents' room and in her mother's arms that night. It felt like she was a rainbow about to clear away from the dark sky. Or a thick drop of oil fast melting away with the merciless scorching heat of the morn
