THE LONE WOLF

THE LONE WOLF

_Hide_. But we all knew. If this went bad, there was no _running_. Old Town was empty. Should have been tourists. Bars. Life. _Nothing_. Silent. Too silent. “Wind’s not moving,” Nero whispered. Snow fell around him but didn’t hit the ground. _Hung_ there. “They’re close.” Rylan was awake. In my arms. Staring at the church at the end of the street. _Notre-Dame_. Doors open. Candlelight inside.

Come Be With Me, The End Is Here

Come Be With Me, The End Is Here

She pressed her fists to her mouth, watching the end of everything she’d ever known. The city’s skyline—once familiar—crumbled, one building at a time. The tallest tower folded in on itself, glass raining down like daggers. Cars burned in the streets, explosions blooming in hideous flowers of fire. Everywhere, chaos. Everywhere, death. No rescue. No hope. Only horror. Autumn’s reflection stared back at her—wide-eyed, lost, a silent witness to the world’s last night. Bombs rained down. Windows rattled. People staggered into the streets—barefoot, lost, clutching children and pets. Some screamed. Some ran. Some just froze, staring at the sky, refusing to believe.

The screen flashed again. MISSION: DIVIDED BLOOD SURVIVE 60 MINUTES ESTIMATED FAILURE RATE: 91% Kai stared. "Ninety-one?" Noah looked personally offended. "That's not a mission." "What is it?" Tess asked weakly. "It's an execution," Noah answered. A countdown appeared. 60:00 Then immediately began falling. 59:59 59:58 59:57 The maintenance chamber shook violently. Sinfully His: Craving The Devil's Son

Sinfully His: Craving The Devil's Son

"Just prepare your weapon. Ensure the safety switch is turned off." I checked my rifle immediately. "The safety is off. I am ready." "Good," Nikolai said. He hit the enter key with a loud, heavy strike. "The virus is deployed. The primary grid is going down in five, four, three, two, one." The entire skyline outside the small grated window of our truck went completely black for a split second. The massive glass structure of Novarion Tower, which usually lit up the city night, suddenly vanished into the darkness. A few seconds later, faint, pulsing red emergency lights began to flicker on the lower floors.

Replaced by His First Love

Replaced by His First Love

They could see his heart beating from the sky. “Phoenix, I can fix this!” Ryan shouted, reaching for the slate. “I can rewrite the buffer!” “Get away from me,” I hissed, drawing my silver dagger. I didn't aim for Ryan. I aimed for the APC’s main console. I drove the blade into the heart of the Nightfall hardware. Sparks showered over my necrotic arm, blue arcs of electricity dying against my waxy skin. The monitors went dark. The engine died. The APC skidded to a halt in the middle of a frozen wasteland, three miles from the nearest Mercy outpost.

The Alpha's Forgotten Bloodline

The Alpha's Forgotten Bloodline

The march toward the Standing Stones was not a journey; it was a slow-motion collision. Three hundred of the Nightfang’s finest warriors moved through the Whispering Canyon, their paws muffled by the thick carpet of autumn needles. Above them, the sky was a bruised violet, heavy with the promise of a storm that had been brewing since the moment Aeron drew his first breath.

Night Slayer

Night Slayer

The night seemed to go completely silent for a moment, and then a deafening explosion rocked the ground beneath her feet. Hazarding a quick glance over her shoulder, Jo didn’t see anything in the opening at first except for a few frazzled Vampires trying to escape what they must’ve seen as a no-win situation. Then, the mountainside began to quake. Within the opening itself, flashes of light, fire, silver nitrate, and smoke were visible. Screams from the Vampires left inside, those who would now be burning or smashed beneath the falling debris hit her ears. “Run!” Cassidy shouted, giving Jo a shove before the Hybrid stopped and turned around, facing back toward the mountain. They were a few s

These people are crazy. -I'm good. I decided to come and I am not going to back down now. Azael looks at me before pressing the red button that sends the signal to the team's computer scientists. From the lower floor of the building, which is taking into account that all the gardens have been evicted and that it is midnight in the morning, we can see how the Space Needle is turning off and running out of any type of energy plant by plant, including the three elevators. And when men in black with guns lookout, Phill's team is quick to fire.

Nightide

Nightide

Later that evening, Hae Mina fell back on her bed, relieved that at last, she could rest. As she closed her eyes, a smile touched her lips. The sound of the shower running below lulled her to sleep, but her dreams were far from sweet. When Hae Mina next opened her eyes, she was a young child hiding behind a dumpster. The harsh wind sent a chill through her body, but no matter how much she blew her breath on her hands, she could not warm up. Soft snowflakes fell from the sky and decorated the streets and her shivering form. She continued to sit and tremble till a red light in the distance caught her eyes. She had no idea why, but she rose from her position and began to run towards the light;

Broken Nightmare

Broken Nightmare

The sound of his nose breaking ricocheted off the forest, alerting anyone nearby of our presence. A sea of red and orange spread instantly behind Nathan and the undead vampires. The fire spread closer and closer, stopping at my feet, going around me, and continuing into the army of vampires. I took the distraction and landed a hard punch to my restrainer, socking him in the eye. He stumbled back, right into the never-ending field of fire. Confusion settled over me as I watched the fire continue around us and consume more vampires. The stench of the flesh burning was overwhelming combined with the agonizing screams and I brought my hands to my ears quickly, trying to turn off the sound of the

This is a really unique and fun story. It has more action than steam and the confusion that the narrator feels is duplicated in the reader, but with curiosity. Good length, good vocabulary and writing. Totally enjoyable!
