My Dear Nightmare

My Dear Nightmare

I was someone who suffered from nightmares, but paradoxically, the darkness here, was calming. I dragged my feet towards his bed and that’s when I saw the frame on his nightstand, next to a Bible. This man owned a Bible? My curiosity fully took over from this moment. I flipped it open. Maxine Jackson. I frowned a closed it. Who was she? My eyes slid back to the frame and I picked it up. It was a picture of a young woman, probably in her early thirties. She had thick black hair and blue eyes. Alexander’s eyes were a dark grey, but the resemblance was uncanny. This was his mother and that Bible perhaps, was hers.

Nightmare turned love

Nightmare turned love

Arnold was still at the window. Still. Staring. Like some big-brother version of the Eye of Sauron fierce, judgmental, and very much ready to smite me into the next dimension. Aiden, on the other hand, took a slow step back, suddenly not so smug. His hands flew up like he was about to be arrested for murder. “Oh my God,” I whispered, panicking. “He saw. He definitely saw. I’m going to be killed. You’re going to be killed,” I said, whipping toward Aiden.

Emerald

Emerald

I’m about to use Emerald’s eyes again when a vision overwhelms me. ** I see Alpha Everly’s eyes glow menacingly. They are now a glowing iridescent white, incredibly spooky. Light swirls around her as she brings vines up from the ground. There are creatures with red eyes surrounding her, pressed to kill. The creatures are pitch black, twisted and evil. While they fear her light, they are charged with one motivation: snuff out the light. She can’t do this alone. She needs help. I see a pair of hazel eyes before me. They close with finality. I see the same vision, but with a pair of bright blue eyes. There is a feeling of sorrow that washes over me.

The Alpha's Undoing

The Alpha's Undoing

Both he and Seb stared, their shock absolute. Nate lifted a trembling hand to his face. His fingers—no, his claws—met not skin, but a raised, rigid pattern. In the reflection of the car window, he saw the nightmare. Thick, tar-black streaks, like corrupted veins or the branches of a dead tree, ran from his hairline down over his temple and cheek, completely covering the left side of his face. His left eye was no longer his own. The sclera was stained a solid, glossy black, and in the center, where his pupil should be, glowed a single, hellish point of burning red.

Fire and Water

Fire and Water

With his eyes closed, he couldn’t avoid it. The snowy landscape of the nightmare was revisited. Seeing the blinding white nothingness imprinted on the backs of his eyelids caused his chin to tremble, his tear ducts to work overtime, and his hands to shake uncontrollably. He sucked in a desperate breath as racking sobs came over him. The tears flowed freely, the words spoken by Hades ringing clearly in his head like a struck bell.

Unnatural: The Wildfire

Unnatural: The Wildfire

Conversation between Kara Black (18) and Ally Black (15) _________________________________________________________ ALLY’s POV I stared at my reflection in the mirror and was met with my glowing eyes that were more yellow than amber at the moment. It was the morning after the full moon and as I sat in the front of my bedroom mirror, watching the color of my eyes alternate between three colors, I looked down at my hands, where balls of fire currently danced. My sheets were burnt, courtesy of one of the many nightmares I'd had after returning from the woods in the early hours of the morning. The headache that had become my companion was a dull throb.

Emerald Eyes

Emerald Eyes

However, it wasn’t the same as to what I'm seeing now. There was a boy. I can’t recognize his face because of the weird blurry effect of the dream. The only thing I saw clearly were his eyes. His emerald-colored eyes are still engraved in my mind. Even though it’s already been a year since I last dreamt of it, I still can’t forget his eyes. The scenes may be different to what I'm seeing now, but they were both peculiar and still not on earth.

Mated To My Nightmare

Mated To My Nightmare

He collapses to the ground, growling in pain, desperately fighting back. My mum, in a desperate howl, drops me and shifts into her wolf form to join the fierce battle. Then I wake up with a jolt as hot tears stream down my eyes. My heart races like it wants to escape my chest as the remnant of the dream lingers in my mind. Scanning the room, confusion clouds my thoughts as I search for reassurance that it was just a dream. The dream is disturbing because it keeps recurring. I had watched my dad get killed by a ruthless Alpha right in front of me, and since then, the scene of battle keeps reoccurring.

I became hooked from the first chapter, I love how easily the author can pull you into her story and make you feel like you're living in it. I hope Lyra eventually finds happiness because I truly feel for her
Jennifer M. Lopez
This story has really been outstanding so far, since I opened it I haven't been able to put in down. I'm loving the character growth and how the story develops, Lyra is such a gem, I feel so sad she has to go through all these I definitely recommend this story!

HE PURCHASED A NIGHTMARE

In the morning, after he had woken up, he got a call from one of the ladies from the mafia. After going back to the base to meet them and having a meeting, He finally concluded that the woman in the picture of one of the ladies Jake had kidnapped looked familiar. Then it dawned on him that it was Yulia's mother. “It’s her. You have her green eyes and her hair. I can't say much about the behavior though.” “I didn't ask for a behavior. How can you know that without just looking at a picture?” Sadness flashed in her green eyes. “I don't even know what my mother looks like since she disappeared when I was six. But I know that she had green eyes too.”
