I jumped down from the tree and landed smooth on my feet He was standing in front of me His combat boots came in my view I straitened up to look into his eyes But when I saw them all my confidence dissapeared Red bood That was the colour of his eyes which were staring at me with surprise. It felt like he knew me from before. No words were exchanged I stood still ,lost in those red eyes Not because they were beautifull but because they were deadly. Those red eyes were my worst nightmares. And today my worst nightmare was staring at me. Revenge The only thing I wanted But right now I was doubting myself Am I capable of killing this deadly beast? Sleep didn't come. Instead, nightmares bled into my waking hours. I saw myself in the healer's hut, blood soaking the sheets beneath me. I saw Carlos holding a tiny, still form, his face twisted with grief. I saw Elena's face superimposed over Layna's, laughing as poison coursed through my veins. I gave birth in my dream and the baby was born with an eye punctured. In the worst dream, I was holding our baby, but when I looked into their face, Elena's black eyes stared back at me.

It was as if her feet were in an invisible lake of quicksand, sinking fast. When she tried to look around, all she saw was the forest or herself in it. She realized that she could no longer see herself clearly. It was as if someone was painting her picture onto the back of her eyelids, making her blindfolded. Or maybe it's not her eyes that are blindfolded. Maybe everything around her is just painted by itself. She wondered what color her eyes would be when she woke up after this nightmare. Her hazel-blue eyes are black. Maybe black means 'dark' or 'darkness'. She couldn't remember the word.

Black dots formed in my vision. I did the only thing that came to my mind. Poking him in the eyes, his grip loosened around my neck enough that I was able to shift my body. Grabbing the side of his head, I used all my strength to pull his head down and listen to the bear trap close around his neck.
