Daniela’s POV I was sure I was going to wake up before Kathy did, because one: I didn’t sleep long in new environments. And two: a nightmare would definitely wake me up hours before I would like to be up. But that didn’t happen. When I opened my eyes, the room was very bright. Either Kathy’s bedroom curtains were very light or I had slept hours deep into the day. The latter didn’t feel real. Another thing, Kathy wasn’t on the bed.

“Let's figure out what makes you so different.” A big screen at the end of the room suddenly illuminated, showing a very angry Nathan. He thrashed and pounded against the door, screaming in protest. 'Nathan!' I mentally screamed, knowing there was something I had to hope in now. He stopped abruptly as if I had actually yelled at him. Spinning around, he glared right at the camera. If looks could kill, Nathan would be able to take out the whole Russian army. “Don't do it,” Nathan sneered, lips barely moving as his teeth started to sharpen.

“I could cut him open—” “No!” The word burst out of me, nearly bringing what was left of my guts up with it. “No, fuck, no.” “Ignore him,” Nate snapped. “He’s a necromancer, of course he always wants to dig up bodies. It’s like fucking Christmas for him.”

Nate and Dylan had already walked away, and Kylan moved in front of me with a wide smile. He pressed his hands into my shoulders. “I’m looking forward to seeing you run against three Lycans, Pup,” he sighed out. “Finally, some normal activity again.” Some normal activity? He was calling a werewolf against three Lycans normal? I had not even looked at who else had pulled green, but this sounded worse than losing the ability to dream. ‘Hmm. I’m not worried,’ Lumia hummed. I ignored her. “Can we please forget about this and get out of here,” I exhaled, “and focus on the real important thing, which is my nightmares?”

No one except the man. The lights flickered. Static buzzed in the bulbs. Electricity crackled. The carriage was plunged into darkness, just a split second of impenetrable black that filled my mouth, my nose, my ears, like thick, dank water, choking me, drowning me. When the lights exploded back into life, I saw it. A sheen of silvery skin on the man's cheek, harsh white reflecting off scarred flesh. It was a brief flicker of a bad dream. A touch of a nightmare; there and then gone again so quickly that I had to blink away the haze, but I knew I'd seen it, I'd seen him .

Grimmie had died as a teenager, and her whole life had stayed frozen at that age. "You did fine," I murmured reassuringly. I gently brushed her hair. "It's all in the past now, so forget whatever should stay forgotten." She obediently bowed her head and gathered her thoughts for some time before picking up the pen again. "In that case… could you nuzzle me?" I was utterly speechless. What kind of weird obsession was this? "It's fine if you don't want to. It's my fault for being too greedy, so I'm really sorry…"

I asked, squinting my eyes trying to get a glimpse of the stranger. “Oh please I know more than your name bunny, I know everything about you” he said taking two more steps. “So you are a stalker then, how long have you been stalking me?” I panicked as I took more steps back. “I’m not a stalker bunny, I’m your nightmare” the voice said and just like the wind he disappeared into the shadows like he was never there, my heart sank into my stomach as his last words echoed in my head. I’m your nightmare.

I throw the cover off me in an attempt to cool down and run my fingers through my hair as I try to slowly regulate my heart and breathing. Nightmare. It was just a nightmare. I’ve never had a nightmare in my entire existence, but I had one of my animai killing me, but more unsettling was that in my nightmare I could see. I could see things I shouldn’t even know what they look like. I’ve never seen Osiah, so how did I know what he looked like?
