Nicklaus drove off to the Black Market and as usual, his weapons were taken.

Now you tell me that it's done by someone else. Do you mind coming up with a better lie?" Nikokai had always felt guilty because of what happened back then. He dud not want Hailey to hate him because of a fabricated charge. His usually cold face appeared anxious in a rare manner.

Did you do it?” “I met with him.” I swirl the whiskey in my glass. “I roughed him up a little.” “You what?” Disbelief flashes across her face, then frustration. “Why?” “He sold information about my business to my rivals. I handled it.”

It's all on me. "Marco..." a voice called out my name, and I glanced up to see Niko crouching down on the floor right in front of us. "I killed her, Niko," I confessed, my voice heavy with guilt. "I took the life of an innocent. Do you remember what I told you when I first got made? I swore to follow your father and you after him blindly. But I made you promise me something, Niko. I made you promise never to let me take the life of an innocent—man or woman, it didn't matter. And I broke that promise."
