calm yet dangerously, the man beside the old man mutters. Silence rules as they duel with cold gazes. Despite all the new information laid in front of them, Levinia remains adamant. She meets every eye of her supposed family. Her father, Carlos Petrov, the Godfather of Petrov Mafia. Her uncle, Carlisle Petrov, her cousins, Donny and Sullivan, and her nephew, Barry, who is a cyber specialist together with his mother. "Even now, you are showing you are a Petrov, Anya. Only a Petrov could have this kind of fearlessness in you" Carlisle smirks.

"He's been seen in the company of Sergei Ivanov, one of your family's known adversaries. They were spotted together in various locations around the city over the past few weeks. It seems like Ivanov might be gearing up for something, and Petrov is his errand boy." "Good work, Damian," Katana said, jotting down the information. "Keep an eye on Ivanov and Petrov. I want to know every move they make." Katana ended the call and stared at the notes in front of her. Aleksandr Petrov's involvement pointed to a possible plot by Sergei Ivanov. She knew Ivanov had always coveted the power and influence of the Romanov family. This latest move suggested he was growing bolder, perhaps desperate. Her phon

The newscast was hyping the conference like it was the moment of the year, and a bitter smile tugged at my busted mouth. Of course, he couldn’t answer me. He was busy protecting the Grecos’ millions. Twenty desperate calls weren’t enough to make Patriarch Lorenzo look away from his business for even a second. The girls shut the TV off fast, and I heard footsteps coming closer. “Alpha, we were... changing the bedding like the butler told us,” they stammered, nervous under Nikolai’s hard stare, until he waved them out. I admired how he refused to be defeated by the fact he couldn’t speak, and still carried the weight of a respected successor.

I said, calling the man, watching as he froze, looking at me over his shoulder as he did. “I, Valerie Morozov, accept your rejection, Alpha Alessandro D’Almerita.”

And not when I knew that Valerie did not like that, and wasn’t going to let it slide… When the doors slid open, he was already waiting. Alpha Lorenzo. He stood near the lobby exit, dark suit perfectly tailored, one hand tucked into his pocket, the other holding a file. The way people stepped around him without realizing why, that instinctive avoidance, was something only true predators carried. “Ms. Lewis.” His voice was smooth, polite. But beneath it was the warning rumble of a storm. “Alpha,” I managed, bowing my head slightly. “I didn’t expect you to still be here. I thought that you would have left already.”

A tall, imposing figure with a cruel grin caught her attention. Vladimir Petrov, a notorious Russian oligarch known for his ruthless tactics.

Isabella would occasionally pass by to check whether or not I was dead, I assume, but Yaroslav seemed to have gone MIA. “It seems like the little Luna has been busy” Nikolay said, smiling at me. I smiled back and nodded. Despite the man being who he was, and despite everything going on; the man had the humor and gentle side that would make anyone smile. I didn’t know about his bad side, but I sure as hell didn’t want to see it.

This man is sending me on a suicide mission and he knows it. That's utterly impossible. “It's exactly what you're thinking Adrian. Get the job done.” He states, not a single emotion crossing his face. “This is the same thing as asking me to kill myself. Nobody can get to this man.” I've heard rumors about him. Nikolai Rostov. The most ruthless man in the whole of Russia. Каратель ( The punisher ) That’s what they call him and I know that he shouldn’t be dwelt with.

And the old man, currently swirling his drink and smirking at a nervous young server? Nikolai Petrov. The Nikolai Petrov. The bastard had been on the FBI’s most-wanted list for over two decades, responsible for running one of the largest heroin distributions in Eastern Europe. And he was sitting here, sipping his drink like a king, surrounded by murderers and thieves who saw themselves as businessmen. My grip tightened around the tray. I needed to find the evidence and get the hell out of here. I forced my body to relax as I approached one of the guests, lowering the tray slightly.

Nikolai barked. His Beta appeared from the crowd, that instant. Oh fuck! “She’s coming with us,” Nikolai said. “Restrain her.” “You can’t do this!” I cried. “This is neutral territory! You have no authority here!” “I have authority over what’s mine,” he said coldly. “And you are mine.” “It’s not your child!” I screamed, desperate. “I was with someone else after I left!” He went still, squinting his eyes, intensifying his gaze on me. Then he leaned closer. “You’ll prove it. In my court. In front of witnesses. And when everyone sees you lied, when they see you tried to steal my heir, you’ll face the consequences.”
