The next day, I'm walking down a bored tunnel. It's dark at the entrance, but I use my wolf's eyes to navigate the area. There are no signs of people down here. I cut into the next turn, and I find the water conveyance at the centre of the now cut and covered tunnel. It's rising from the pit below and flowing through the city. I step down the stairs. There are overhead pipes lining the walls as well as florescent bulbs. It stinks. I curse under my breath because I won't be leaving soon. There's also graffiti on the walls of the sewage tunnel. I walk down a path, whiling away my time with the words in spray paint. It's all sorts of nonsense.

It stood on two hind legs as it smoked a cigar that released bubbles instead of smoke. On top of its head, there were furry little hornets with colourful wings. They flew around and collected the bubbles. The bubbles were then tossed into a portal that was as big as their size. They were only the size of a human thumb. Jennet was in awe as she enjoyed watching those tiny creatures doing their jobs. She adored their cuteness! Her intense ane voiceless stare drew unwanted attention from the hornets. They became anxious. Luckily, the green-back turtle noticed their discomfort.

Saber looked expectantly at Steve and Emma who got the cue and jumped after Raven. Saber jumped in last. Emma saw that they were in the underground sewer system of the city. She knew this because of the smell. It was horrible. Steve activated his wolf thermal sight because it was very dark. "What is this place?" Emma asked and her voice echoed through the underground tunnels. Saber was leading the group. "This is where they dumped the useless failed experiments," Saber replied as he walked. Emma saw the eerie remnants of past experiments. Discarded bodies of dead half mutated werewolves and abandoned projects of what she believed was the Sentinel.

She had brought her here to rebrand the scandal. The First Scar Back in the tunnels, the Broker laughed at Leo’s offer. "Codes? Codes are for the world above. Down here, we trade in Weight." She tossed a heavy, rusted wrench at Leo’s chest. He barely caught it, the impact bruising his ribs. "The pumps in Sector 4 are clogged with Sovereign silt. If they fail, this whole tunnel floods, and my people drown. You want a ticket to New York? You go down there and clear the intake. No tech. No 'Admin' powers. Just you and the iron."

"Let's bring him home." We moved through the forest at a measured pace, conserving energy for what would likely be a fight on the way out. The entrance to the sewage tunnels was hidden in a drainage culvert half a mile from the resort property line, accessed through a rusted grate that Mason had already loosened during his reconnaissance. The tunnels were exactly as unpleasant as I'd expected—damp, foul-smelling, partially collapsed in places where we had to crawl on hands and knees through mud and stagnant water. We moved in silence, night vision casting everything in eerie green.

Jack muttered. They reached the "Needle's Eye." It was a narrow section of the sewer system where the main tunnel funneled into a pipe barely six feet wide. The water here was waist-deep, rushing black sludge. Above them, rusted iron supports groaned under the weight of the city. "Set up the ambush," Jack ordered.

Jailbird asked. Gams looks at Jailbird smirks. **** "Boss, Megan and Sofia are locked up in a sewer" Artemis said from the bud. "Can you tell where the sewer is?" Axton asked. "I'm sorry Boss, but I can only know the location of where Jailbird is," Artemis said. "Guess we have to find it ourselves" Ace said. Axton and Ace look at each other before going to different dimensions. Axton Keeps walking around the premises of the old building, looking for the sewer, and he was fortunate to see one, without hesitating he enters the sewer which leads him to an underground conduit.

"Let's go play plumber." [The Tunnels] Beneath the Bank. Jack and Sebastian waded through icy water in the sewer maintenance tunnel. Jack placed a small EMP jammer on the wall. Hummm. "Sensors disabled for 30 seconds. Go." Sebastian climbed up the ladder to the junction box. He wasn't wearing an exoskeleton. His hands were shaking from the cold (and the residual nerve damage). He had to splice a fiber optic cable thinner than a human hair. "Ten seconds, Sebastian!" Jack whispered.

The escape route was not glamorous. It was Geneva’s forgotten artery, a narrow, suffocating service tunnel that ran parallel to the main sewer line. The air was thick with a damp, mineral smell and the distant, echoing rush of water. Their only light was the harsh, bobbing beam of Sabatine’s flashlight, which seemed to make the darkness around them even more profound.
