We were both on our backs. I scrambled to get up, but he shoved the stick to my throat. "Stay down, or I'll have your throat ripped out." Easy enough. I froze. Vivid still stood there. Shaking. At least she was safe from the stick. Mr. Big Stick turned his attention to her, leaning in, sniffing her hair. I felt rage boiling in my veins, shifting to get in again. Mr. Big Stick growled and swung the stick to hit me in the leg. "I said stay down."

“Come at me, I promise that I will tone down my strength to ten percent.” Ten percent? Is he trying to insult me? I know that he is just trying taunt me, make a fool of me in front of hundreds of other students. I look around and see one of those thick sticks that some of the students are using as a weapon. If his hands are tied behind him, and I have this stick, maybe I will have a chance at him. I grab the stick, and he stands with his hands akimbo, as if now amused by me.

I dumped the content of my shirt on the ground and inspected my acquisitions. There were six nails, each at least the length of my finger, half of them crooked and all of them rusty. If the nails didn’t kill you, tetanus probably would.

If the strength of Gemini and Virgo were not much different, then he had no chance of winning. Before he could figure out how to deal with it, Gemini attacked him. Then… Sea Turtle was uninjured! He giggled at Gemini and said cheerfully, “I forgot to tell you. My name is Sea Turtle. I don’t have any other ability. The only ability I have is hard skin! Even a machete can’t cut through my flesh, let alone your bare hands.” This was his ninja skill, his unique ability. The purpose of bringing Sea Turtle was not to kill the opponent but to stall the opponent.

"Do you hear that?" It would be impossible not to hear a lot of snapping sounds coming from the waterfall. The turtle on Wound's foot was apparently not the only one they had to worry about. "Fuck." There was fear cloaking her voice, yet it did not tremble as she warned, "I swear to you, if you make one more step, just say goodbye to the earth," with her eyes lit in fierce determination. They were the first to falter and wonder if their next move was truly that necessary, merely stunned into uncertainty by the girl.
