I could feel Torey's gaze on us while Luara shook her head defiantly. "Yes, you are." I laughed, tickling her as she struggled to get out of my hold, giggling loudly before escaping my grip and running off. I sat between Torey and Charlotte; Sam was on the other side of his mate. Elijah had left around an hour ago, he had somewhere he needed to be. Two other wolves had joined us, their names were Joanna and Clara. They were both pack warriors and their mates were currently running border patrol. Joanna's mate was Torey's head tracker and apparently the best in West America.

Lana looked at me and I know from the look in her eyes that something bad is about to happen. ‘Baby,’ I said through the mind link, ‘Get out of there! Now!’ Drake was about to say something back but the doors of the building flew open and rogue wolves in their wolf form rushed in. They stopped for a few seconds but began attacking the people on the table. “Why are they not shifting,” Nikki said in a panic. We stood as we watch in horror how the Alphas and their men fought the rogue wolves who are triple their size with their bare hands.

Ares’s POV “With as many trained pack warriors as you have and the size of your territory, combined with ours, no one would stand against us,” Ari states clearing up the issue. She wasn’t wrong. I was very proud to boast about the fact that I had the largest number of trained pack warriors in the Wolf Nation, only challenging Harmon’s pack alone. A stabbing pain flies through my arm and head as he picks me up and I wince, but I don't say anything. A low growl behind us makes Maximilian turn abruptly, sending my head into a dizzy spin. These wolves will kill us unless Maximilian is free to fight them. I don't remember ever being so scared, and this time it's not just for myself. I'm surprised that just as Tommy said, I'm worried about Maximilian's safety as well.

Another roar rumbled the Earth but this time it was not what sucked the life out of me. The men in front of my eyes had turned into monsters. Unnatural and terrifying big wolves.
