A few seconds later, the bushes rustled, and Nino limped into the garden clearing.
His side was heavily bandaged under a plain black t-shirt, his face still pale from blood loss, though his dark eyes were as sharp and annoying as ever. He stopped near the bench, crossing his arms over his chest as he looked at me.
"Look who finally got let out of the cage," Nino drawled, a smirk touching his lips. "I thought Christian was going to keep you glued to his chest forever."
I rolled my eyes, folding my arms over my chest to match his stance. "Good morning to you too, Nino. Nice to see you're still breathing after getting yourself stabbed."
