No matter how hard you struggle, you end up losing anyway." I didn’t argue. By the time dawn approached, the final game ended. A draw. I started to gather the pieces, ready to return to my room. Suddenly, Jonathan’s hand pressed down on the board. He lifted his head, his deep eyes locking onto mine.

"We will see who wins first, Brother," He stood up and smirked at me, sparking a challenge I won’t back away from. "Either your revenge... or my extortion?" My smirk also grew wider as I replied strongly, having no intentions of failing. "We will see," He let out a quiet jeering laugh and left me all alone in my undesirable thoughts after starting a lethal game. I stared at the crack in the glass with a blaze igniting in my eyes as I threw the glass away, shattering it to pieces.

Valerie asks questions once again, peering out the glass window next to them at the rain. “Yes, but isn't it lovely to have someone wait on you or simply be there for you?” Ellen agreed as she looked out the window at the pouring rain, Valerie smiled as she leaned her head against the glass window, listening to the rain. ‘My empress, wake up and return to me right now...Zhilux’ The voice calls out to her again, this time with an unusual name, prompting her to open her eyes and turn to look around the restaurant.

I Every tick of time, Fiel could feel the intense desire and wish that the game be finished already. Today is the third day of the Game and it was called, “Escape from Arrows.” Fiel and the other remaining five players were put in a big circle, out in the open field, and were told to run to save their lives while arrows would rain inside the big circle. Whoever comes out of the big circle alive would remain in the game. "Take the left side, Mister, more arrows will fall on the right side," it was a voice that Fiel suddenly heard before the loud sound of a gunshot was heard all over the arena.

I don’t want to steal him away from someone else. I think about that as I continue working. Soon my shift is over, and I lock the door to the cafe on the chilly night. I make my way home, lost in my thoughts, when a sudden noise startles me, and I turn around in the dark. My eyes can’t spot anything in the alley. There are only puddles on the ground and a few scratched posters on the walls. Yet, despite that, I shout, “Is someone there?” No answer. I take a few steps forward until I’m standing in the middle of the alley, and suddenly, I hear a loud PANG. It sounds a lot like a gun. Shit...was I shot? I never get to confirm this as everything turns into darkness.

I take her hand and watch helplessly as our brother’s bones snap and reconfigure into his human form. I want to help him, but I don’t know what to do. I remember my first shift. It was horrible. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone, but I also know that there is nothing I can do to make this easier for him. The only thing that helped me was Doc Everett knocking me out. Since Iniko isn’t a hybrid, this should be a normal shift, except Iniko isn’t normal. No one knows what will happen with him after he shifts. Will he finally regain his memories from his life before now? Will he want Eliane as his mate again? Will the rift between him and Ancalagon start all over again?
