Eyes locked on me, waiting for a show. I knew this game. Last life, he treated me like his damn servant. I didn't move. Just dug my heel into the gravel and said flatly, "You dropped it. You pick it up." The training ground went dead quiet. Even the wind cut out. Kain's head jerked up, eyes lit with rage. "What did you just say?"

I had thought I would calmly expose his lies, but my body couldn't help but tremble as I spoke. "You disgust me! Since that's the case, I'm done playing this game. Go, be happy with her." Shane didn't expect me to know the truth, and he couldn't even form a proper sentence. "W-What do you mean, you're done playing this game?" "I'll leave this world. I won't appear in front of you anymore." A trace of panic appeared on Shane's face. He clenched his fists, but with so many people around, he still forced a smile. "That's got to be a bluff! Your mission's not complete yet, so your sister will die!"

Death must understand what I'm hinting at, because he snaps his fingers, and copies of himself surround us in a circle. He speaks in a strange language, nothing I've ever heard before, and his copies nod, disappearing into bits. "I have to go." I tell Death, and I get up, running away from there.

I breathed a sigh of relief. I observed him as he played games on his phone. "Fuck! Keegan, you're a jerk! "He yelled. I could hear a giggle over the phone. "I'm sorry, man, that was my fault," he apologized. "What are you playing?" I inquired. "Is that you, Nola? We're playing a game called Mobile Legends," Malcolm's response astonished me. They're taking part in that game? I was watching them when they lost the game and busted out laughing. My laughter grew louder when I noticed Aries frowning when he lost a star.

"Is that what you think this is? A life?" "Well, my hearts beating and I'm breathing," Livi argues, insisting that she felt pretty alive and so, she must have a life. "What you have isn't a life, Liviana. It's a game!" Emilia tells. "And you're being played for a fool!" "No, I'm not-" "Yes, you are!" "I am not a fool!" Livi denies, and Emilia scoffs a laugh. "Let's play a game! " "Pffff! Another one?! That's enough game for tonight! " "Don't you want to get the answers of your questions? " "What's the rules?"
