His Hidden Heart

His Hidden Heart

Their attention turned to me instantly, but they seemed more surprised than anything. “I'm sorry,” I said as I rushed to their front door. “Forgive me!” I yelled as I left the small apartment. Instead of going down the hall stairs, I ran up the stairs. I needed to find a place to hide until they gave up on this building. Running up the stairs to the roof, I searched for a place to hide. There weren’t any options on this roof, but I noticed another rooftop with a few hiding options. Dashing across the roof to the edge, I smiled when I saw there wasn’t much of a gap. Having been a cheerleader for most of my life, I retreated to the center of the roof. With a goal in mind, I ran as fast as I co

The Scandalous Secret She Hides

The Scandalous Secret She Hides

This was not the strength of a human being but a furious beast. "I've had enough!" He gritted his teeth and took out his phone, the screen showing a shocking video. In the video, I was disheveled as I slumped over the examination table with my face flushed, whispering explicit words of love to Heath. My blood froze instantly. The angle of this secretly filmed video was extremely odd. It was clearly from a hidden camera that had been concealed beforehand. If this footage got out... "If this video appeared on the school website..." He leaned close to my ear, his warm breath causing goosebumps to rise all over me. "What do you think your suitors will think of their goddess?"

The Billionaire Who Forgot His Marriage

The Billionaire Who Forgot His Marriage

“We need to hide.” “Where…?” His voice slurred, soft, lost. “Anywhere they won’t think to check.” Downhill lay an industrial zone—dark warehouses, silent streets, a maze of hiding places. I guided Adrian down the slope, muscles burning, lungs screaming. But fear kept me moving. At last, a row of abandoned storage units came into view. Rusted doors. Broken locks. Perfect. I pushed one open and pulled Adrian inside. The storage space was cold, dark, empty except for a few wooden crates.

The Black Rose

The Black Rose

Noir asks. "Somewhere untraceable. Somewhere we can sit for a few weeks while I work out the next step." I rub the back of my neck. "I had a location in mind but it was contingent on things going differently tonight, so right now I'm working with what I have." I look at Noir and then I feel something that is either exhaustion or irony working through me, possibly both. "It's not like you happen to have another secret hideout somewhere that nobody knows about."

I Surrender to Them

I Surrender to Them

Heros Green Moscow, Ulitsa Arbat (Arbat Street) The cold wind cut through the air like invisible blades while Noah, Zedekiah, and I positioned ourselves in an abandoned building a few blocks from the warehouse where Luther and Lohan had infiltrated. The place, a decaying and forgotten structure, was filled with shadows and echoes that seemed to whisper ancient secrets. It left me uneasy. With the micro-cameras and listening devices perfectly camouflaged in their clothes, we were ready to capture every movement, every word.

Hidden Mate

Hidden Mate

“But, remember this! Don’t you ever go and visit my room! It is located at the second floor, left side and third door. Okay?! I will start now. One! Two!” The guests ran around looking for the best place to hide, and the place where the document was hidden. One hid under the table of the kitchen. Another went behind the curtain. “Just where the f*ck is it?” Britney, who’s in the kitchen, murmured quietly while looking around. “Did you find it?” Owen asked. “Not yet. Sh*t!” “Hey. Lower your voice. He might find us,” Owen reminded. “He’s still counting. Don’t worry.”

Luna At Alpha Academy

Luna At Alpha Academy

- THE HIDEOUT ROMAN’S POV The hideout is hidden inside an unassuming convenience store, the kind you’d walk past without a second glance. Fluorescent lights hum faintly above our heads, casting sterile glows across shelves stacked with dusty snacks and cheap energy drinks. From the outside, it’s ordinary. From the inside, it hums with quiet tension. This place houses both Souls and Believers; a mix which makes it perfect for us to blend in. The cashier’s eyes follow us the moment we step through the door. He’s calm, polite even, but there’s something about the stillness in his gaze that gives him away. Believer.

FROZEN BONDS: THE HALF-BLOOD'S MATE

FROZEN BONDS: THE HALF-BLOOD'S MATE

"We can't outrun them. Not in this snow." "Then we fight." "No." The word came from me, surprising everyone—including myself. "We don't fight. We hide." Stellan turned to me, his brow furrowed. "Lyra—" "I just learned to control my shifts. I'm not ready for a real battle. And you're still weak from the fever." I looked at Cengiz. "Is there somewhere we can hide? A cave, a crevice, anything?" Cengiz was quiet for a moment, then nodded slowly. "There's an old hunting blind about half a mile east. Abandoned. Hidden. If we can reach it before they catch our scent..."

The Ultimatum Wife

The Ultimatum Wife

“I’m seeing you.” That… that was worse. She moved away quickly, pretending to busy herself with another case. Roman followed. “Elena,” he said softly. “Where do you go? When you disappear? When your parents think you’re out partying?” She hesitated. A real hesitation. Then, after a long breath, “My hideout.” Roman blinked. “You have a hideout.” “Obviously,” she muttered. “Where?” She smirked. “Secret.” “Elena.”

My Wife is a Hacker

My Wife is a Hacker

There was no longer the need to keep things hidden; it was time to warn everyone to be careful. "Okay, I'll tell them." Lulu looked serious and left the office. Nicole slowly stood up, pacing toward the floor-to-ceiling windows, looking out and thinking. **** In the busiest mall in San Joto, Everett was hiding in a utility room in the parking lot, stressed from his escape, with Doretta. "How long do we have to hide?" Doretta asked, her face pale and voice trembling. Everett glared at her and said, "We'll wait until night. Don't follow me after we leave."

Also, it took WAY TOO LONG to get to the Olympiad and the exam. Like really?!?! Also, no one can be that perfect. Every time you turn around, she is a master of this and that at the tender age of 18. Like, come on! Do better!

I’m only 26% thru this book, and I’m HOOKED!!! There’s a FEW slow places in it, but overall, it has kept me interested so much, that I read every chance I get, and can’t wait to get further into it!!! Definitely worth the time, IMO.
