he asked, his voice tinged with concern. Magdalena, her heart heavy with the complexity of the situation, offered a gentle and reassuring explanation. "Noah, can you take a shower by yourself for now? There are things that your mother and grandmother need to discuss." Noah, ever obedient, nodded in response and turned to head to the bathroom. He was eager to follow Magdalena's request, although he couldn't understand the intricacies of the situation that had unfolded. Once Noah had entered the bathroom and closed the door, Navier, the long-absent father, turned to Magdalena with teary eyes. His voice was filled with a mixture of sadness and curiosity as he inquired, "Is that Irene's son?"

Conrad couldnt understand. "What’s bothering you Noah"? Harry asked him with concern. "Sometimes i don’t believe Conrad is pregnant. He isn’t moody. He isn’t all emotional. He doesn’t crave for weird foods. Like pancakes with yogurt. Or peaches with black coffee. Or honey glazed apples. Or cheese cakes. Dad told me when Mom was pregnant she would crave for so many things even in the middle of the night and Dad would make sure to bring it. I feel am a useless partner and a bad dad". Poor Noah was drowning. When I saw the sweat on his forehead, I cut the call, laughing. "Noah, you've met your future in-laws. Don't you think it's time I see my future mother-in-law?" He pulled out his beat-up phone. It lagged forever before a photo popped up. He brushed a thumb over it. "She's deaf, doesn't talk. Earns a little putting screws together. When my dad hits her, she can't even scream." One look at the woman on-screen and it felt like lightning hit me.

Elara urged further, her voice getting lower. "Well, Emma is the smart one with computers," Noah said, his eyes twinkling like stars. "She searched his name on your iPad when you were in the shower. She found lots of pictures! He has big buildings and fancy cars. He’s called the 'King of Blackwood,' Mommy. And he lives in a huge place in New York." He leaned in closer and spoke in conspiratorial whispers, his eyes sparkling with a greedy little glint that looked too cute to be angry at.

NOAH "You have no fucking right to question me, Diva. If you'd just stop trying to play the part of a concerned parent and stick with being a loyal wife. And stop trying to control my life." She does flinch at the tone of my voice. But she doesn't let that high chin of hers get any lower. Typical Diva. "I am your mother, Noah. I am allowed to be concerned when you bring up a name that is forbidden in this family."

“But I want ice cream.” “Daddy will always buy you lots of ice cream, but we’ll listen to mommy tonight, okay? Noah looked at me. “Because you should remember that a mother knows best, okay, Niana?” He looked at Niana again and smiled. Niana smiled back at him as she hugged him tightly. They walked to the kitchen, laughing about something again. “Wow. I never thought Noah could be this kind of person.” Shiloah exhaled in amusement. “He was a plain jerk in my memory, who would have thought he could be a father.”

Sayla persuaded again. "Isn't that true? If not, why should you care what other people say? You don't care about what I want either, do you?" Noah sneered at his mother's whining. "Noah, I only want what's best for you, son. Zara is a good woman, she is perfect. She's the complete opposite of that damn woman." Mrs. Sayla was still comparing Zara to Grace, so Noah was too lazy to continue this boring conversation. "Mom, I'm so busy. You'll just go home," he said gruffly and then stood up to leave for his own office.

Probably nothing, like the rest of them, just stand there in shock. "What did Noah do?" "His eyebrow started twitching," he says, making me burst out laughing again, "But what can he do? His Ladybug is going through something. She's pregnant and divorced and her wol... you know, it's just a lot. So he shut the fuck up and let it go." "So I definitely can't approach yet," I sigh, "Not that I want to, I'm the one angry at her."

I continued to ask out of curiosity, "He doesn't have a wife or a girlfriend." "I'm what you would call a bastard," Noah grimaced as he said that word. I gasped "My mum said that's a bad word." "That's because it is," he said, "My mother and Father had a thing going on at one point and then I was born. Robert didn't want anyone to know of me, I think he was ashamed." I could see the sadness on his face, "Where's your mum now?" I asked. "She died four months ago," he said quietly.
