I couldn’t help but wonder. Soon Damien's friends got involved in the fight and I watched as Noah fought all three of them without touching them. All he did was dodge and hit their legs so that they would fall to the ground. He seems to be enjoying it as he was toying with them. Just who was he and where is he from? Then I heard footsteps behind me and shortly after, I heard a voice from behind me. “Noah over here!” It was the voice of Damien’s friend and he was holding a knife close to my neck.

He looked at me for a second like he wanted to argue that it couldn't, actually, but then Ezra was tugging at his sleeve, asking if dinosaurs really existed, and the moment dissolved into something else entirely. "What were you going to tell me?" I asked, but Kian was already half-turned toward Ezra, mid-explanation, and didn't seem to hear me. I looked down at Noah, who had finally finished his drawing and was studying it with quiet satisfaction. "What did you make?" I asked. He turned it around. Four figures, carefully spaced, each one clearly distinguishable despite the simple lines, one tall, one medium, two small. "Us," he said simply. I looked at it for a long moment. "It's beautiful."

Not some—” he gestures vaguely toward the door, “—servant.” I bristle at his dismissal of Akin, my temper flaring again. “You don’t know that. You can’t just decide you’re my One because it’s convenient for you.” He pushes off the wall, stepping closer, and I can see the determination in his eyes.

Noah offers, revealing at the same time that he has visited here on many occasions. I nod numbly, unsure of what else to do. “Okay, I like the sound of that.” *** Maybe it’s wrong having agreed to this when Cian is back in the mortal realm, blissfully unaware. But as Noah stands before me on the beach, sinfully diaphanous white shirt showing his golden skin beneath, I can’t think of anywhere else I would like to be. Gently, he lays a blanket down upon the sand, having found a beach not far from Stace’s estate. Beyond us, a liquid blanket of silver and turquoise washes up gently against the sand, nowhere close to where we sit.

He growls, as he desperately tries to get the upper hand. But it's just not working, he suddenly doesn't feel her anymore, it's like she's gone. He panics even more, terrified of what might have happened. He breaks away, running in her direction just to see no one's there. He goes flying forward, the enemies attacking him instantly. He hears a commotion as everyone goes flying that was on him a moment ago. "Surprise motherfuckers!" He hears the wonderful voice of his Luna. He looks up to see Noah smiling as his body spins, quickly taking down enemy after enemy.

replied another familiar voice holding the source of light. "What were you trying to do, Noah?!" I asked as I stood up straightening my skirt. Lowan helped brush off the dirt from my uniform and hair. I noticed that Lowan was not actually holding a torch; he had a rotating card floating over his shoulder producing a flame. "Haven't you heard of CPR?" answered the bleeding Noah. This guy really gets into my nerves like nobody else. "What made you think that I needed CPR? I was only unconscious; my breathing was completely fine," for an immortal, Noah is pretty dimwitted. No wonder he's not going anywhere with his plans on defeating Moros.

I liked Jada even more in that moment because future Alpha or not, Nox wasn’t exempt from her attitude. “If you’re asking me if I left those notes, then just spit it out. For the record, I didn’t. Why would I, anyway? We’re not friends and never have been. Actually, up until I met Lilac, you probably didn’t even know I existed. As for my magic, I can touch things if I concentrate hard enough. It’s not for more than a few seconds though, and it drains me completely.” Nox frowned, and opened his mouth, but hesitated. A gentle breeze rustled his hair, sending it falling over his forehead. He didn’t brush it out of the way, leaving it there while he pulled something out of his pocket.

Draven who was now looking properly at me for the first time. He stared as our eyes met and I could swear there were a hundred questions in his eyes. Are you okay? Is this okay? Are you hurt anywhere? What happened to you? The relief that flooded me was instant, but I had a few questions of my own too. The silent question on my brows hung between us until he started to explain. “This is Noah. He’s the Alpha King in charge of Europe.” I nodded calmly even as unease tightened its grip around my stomach and sank its claws deeply into me. The fact that he was even real had overshadowed the surprise I should have felt at finding out his position.

She would be just Ophelia…and he would be just Noah. Maybe then, he would have let himself go when he hovered over her in the arena. He would have… “The young lord!” Noah snapped out of his trance before he could imagine anything inappropriate. He held up his head to see Jone approaching him. “Oh, Jone,” Noah said. “I didn’t know you were coming today?” “Neither does the Alpha,” Jone chuckled. “I’m here on a whim. Somethings just happened and I had to tell your father.”
