After that, there was a wolf run under the moonlight as part of the official program. If the forest was already crowded before, tonight under the full moon would be a total madhouse. A bunch of them were probably drunk too, so the chances of being followed or harassed were almost guaranteed. This week’s schedule included live music, dancing, games, competitions—even some theater performances. Apparently, one of the most popular attractions was the Lovers’ Square, a place where unmated wolves had a chance to find their partner.

Because, if he ever had a bad plan, he would have killed me right then. But, no. I only felt him watching me intently while asleep every night without fail. Creepy, isn’t it? It started right after my birthday party and dad invited almost all magnates around the world. He basically turned my special event into a business coalition. Not that I begrudge him that. Thankfully, the best I can do is those horrendous curfew bots that need both my and Invent’s abilities to keep living.
