Beauty and The Beta

Beauty and The Beta

I had already had a soak in the bath to relax, but, despite that, and the late hour, I was struggling to settle down. I decided to go for a walk around the packhouse. See if I could find the library and find a book I could read, as stupidly, I had left most of my good books at home. That may help me fall asleep easier, as reading was my go-to thing of a nighttime before bed. I walked slowly down the empty, dimly lit corridors of the packhouse, finding it quite eerie while it was empty. I tried hard to remember where the library was from when I had my tour, while Akira decided it would be funny to make ghost noises at me in an attempt to scare me. ‘Stop. Akira. It is not funny!’ I warned her.

Is this book close to being finished? I seen the author comment that it shouldn't be much more than a little over 200 but as of right now it's at 288 and not completed. Before I start is there still a significant amount left before the story is finished?

Sooo I started reading this in a different reading app and just noticed it's in this one as well. However there's a different amount of chapters between the two, there's more here than the other app? Did the story get switched/continued in this app instead? Or are the chapters the same somehow?

Pathetically Beautiful

Pathetically Beautiful

I woke up to the sound of my phone going off. I sat up, grabbing it, confused. No one had ever messaged me, and I didn't have friends. Picking it up, I opened the message. good morning, beautiful. I hope your day is as beautiful as you. a smile came to my face, my cheeks burning red as I felt a mix of things that I could quite put my finger on. morning who did you get my number? A few moments passed before my phone buzzed again with a response.

Our Beautiful Betrayal.

Our Beautiful Betrayal.

Hazel POV. The club was different in the sunlight, it's nothing like the one I saw last night, or the one I usually see when I come in the in between shifts. In the morning, sunlight streams through the windows, the music is different, it's not dark, strong or loud, it's just a background, you could have a chat here without having troubles listening to what the others are saying. I didn't know my brother catered to people in the morning as well as at night, there were tones of murmurs, clinking glasses. People laughed lightly, their designer sunglasses reflecting the gleam of gold watches and the occasional polished shoe.

The Beautiful Lie

The Beautiful Lie

Forgetting about the situation that was happening currently I was snapped back to reality when I see him lunge at the grey wolf that was chasing me, they snarl and tear into one another; his claws tear into the side of the grey wolf who lets out a howl from the injury that was just inflicted onto his torso. Whimpers are to be heard as the grey wolf backs away from the black wolf and stares at me as he growls and snaps his jaw, within a second the grey wolfs retreat back to the forsaken territory as they take off running in retreat from the attack that was inflicted onto them, sighing in relief my arms collapse under me as I stare up at the sky laughing in relief of being able to live another

The Softest Kind of Ruin

The Softest Kind of Ruin

Nicole's fingers danced across the spines of the books, gently adjusting their positions. She wanted to create an alluring display, one that would capture the attention of passersby. The vibrant covers were like a painter’s palette, and Nicole was the artist, carefully crafting her masterpiece. She stepped back, eyes narrowing as she scrutinized her handiwork. A slight tilt here, a nudge there—she was determined to find the perfect arrangement. The bookstore was her sanctuary, a place where she could lose herself in worlds spun by strangers. But today, she wanted the store itself to feel like one of those worlds: warm, magnetic, impossible to walk past without stepping inside. With a final s

“Yes.” “That’s it?” I asked, my eyes widening in surprise. “Nikolai! It is snowing, you should be excited.” He returned to his work. “It is snow. And given that we live in the Northen Territories, it is expected.” “You have absolutely no appreciation for anything,” I told him. “It snows regularly.” He said, shrugging as he looked down at the paper once again. “That does not make it less beautiful.” I said, rolling my eyes. I closed the book and set it on the small table. “I’m going outside.”

The Alpha's Secret Heir: The Ward's Revenge

The Alpha's Secret Heir: The Ward's Revenge

Only when I saw Leo tucked into bed, listening to her read a story about a brave little tugboat, did I allow myself to leave. The North Library was a tomb of forgotten things. It was grand, with vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling shelves, but the Administrative Archives tucked in the back were purely functional. I didn’t need a flashlight; the overhead crystal lamps hummed to life as I flipped the switch, bathing the rows of filing cabinets in a sterile, yellow glow.

Only a Half Blood

Only a Half Blood

Instead of getting in his Jeep he continued to walk down the street with her, hand in hand. The weather was perfect for this early spring evening, a gentle breeze wound its way through the city streets as the street lights were slowly turning on as the sun set in the distance. They walked for a couple blocks, lightly chatting together before entering another old looking building. It was a beautiful book store. It had a small coffee shop in the front corner and three floors of books on old wooden bookshelves that reached floor to ceiling, there were even little nooks and crannies that had comfortable chairs and side tables so people could sit and go through the books. It had used and new book

The Demon's Daughter

The Demon's Daughter

The slightly windy spell of the previous week was over; the sun was shining brightly as Madeleine Shay hurried across the road to her favorite bookstore, too brightly for 9am in the morning, she thought. The hood of her sweater was up to keep her hair from blowing across her face. The weather might have warmed up, but the wind off the East River could still be brutal. It carried with it a faint chemical smell, mixed with the smell of rot, gasoline, and pastries from the bakery down the street.

The Beautiful Carnage

These books are my small token of appreciation. Hamza Shah. She blinked at the piece of paper for a while before she grabbed all the things and went to her room. He wished her luck. It felt weird that a hot-headed mafia man wished her luck but she still accepted it. She was so happy as she stared at her books for like five minutes straight. He got her admission into the university. He is amazing. Wait. She had to control herself but the very next second she was jumping up and down in joy. God, the excitement feels wonderful.
