Truth In Lies

Truth In Lies

Jeez, standing in front of me earlier saying he does know something about the son with confidence. He was so confident earlier but look at him now. This jerk is deceiving me. "Well, I'm here for a back up not for finding an information." He really does have a knack for pissing people. "Then leave." I have a lot of back up and I don't need an additional. "Aw, Pride, Hell is being mean to me again." "I don't care." "Wha— hey! At least defend me." "Why would I?" "I'm your cousin, of course that's the right thing to do." They are cousin yet they don't have anything similar to each other.

Ex-husband’s Regret: Revenge So Sweet

Ex-husband’s Regret: Revenge So Sweet

“Not when you broke the friendship rule. Or did you forget our last discussion that night?” Cynthia’s eyes flicker, a sly look crossing them. “Oh, about that,” she murmurs, tilting her head as if in thought. “I’m not supposed to say this now, but don’t you think you shouldn’t be judging yet? I mean, who knows what the truth really is?” She shrugs, leaning back, her nonchalance deliberate. The words don’t escape me. What does she mean by that? She exhales, her voice taking on a musing quality. “You know, sometimes people act on what they believe is right, even when, deep down, they might not be as blameless as they seem.”

Haven’t gotten far in the book. But if Alexander and Bel don’t discover that everything is a lie and get back together I will be so mad. Both were drugged and set up. Absolutely no reason to make them be enemies by the end. If that is the plan then this story should have been set up differently.

I waited till the end to drop a comment, and I’m glad I did. Author, you did so well. I was a bit confused at some point, but you tied everything together beautifully. This is a solid 10/10. I’ll miss the characters, especially Roy. Thank you for this amazing story. I’m looking forward to more works

Billion Dollar Man

Billion Dollar Man

Skylar asked, looking surprised. I rolled my eyes. “Sounds like it, doesn’t it?” We sat together in silence for a moment. “I know this is so cliché to say,” Skylar said. “But if it’s meant to be, it will work out.” I groaned. “Yeah, that’s very cliché. And I don’t think that it works that way. This is real life, not some kind of movie where quotes like that come true.”

The Goddess of Divorce Made Me His Boss

The Goddess of Divorce Made Me His Boss

"Where have you been? I've needed your guidance so desperately." "I have been preparing for this moment," the goddess replied. "Your enemies have created their greatest weapon against you, but they do not understand that their lies will become their undoing." "How can lies be their undoing? The evidence against me looks completely real. Even I'm starting to wonder if somehow I did something illegal without knowing it." "The very perfection of their deception reveals its false nature," Athena explained. "Truth is messy and complicated. Lies are neat and simple. Your enemies have created evidence that is too clean, too organized, too convenient to be real."

Unmasking Falsehoods

Unmasking Falsehoods

Madison, however, mistook my laughter for mockery and glared at me with disdain. I tilted my head and asked in amusement, "Since you say you've worked hard to teach yourself the art of traditional pottery, I'm curious just how hard you've worked." I asked her that because I knew she couldn't possibly have self-taught herself traditional pottery. She was lying just to build a persona and continue using traditional pottery to make money. Just like Tyler, they didn't actually care about preserving the heritage. They were just exploiting it for profit. But to my surprise, Madison pulled out her phone. She pointed to a popular account that documented her journey in learning traditional pottery. T

Clean Verdict, Dirty Truth

Clean Verdict, Dirty Truth

Even if a car ran them over, it would leave nothing more than a few scratches. There was no way they could shatter into cold, broken pieces from a simple fall. I stared at the rolling wall of venomous comments. I stared at Eric's face as he twisted the truth without blinking. Every word I wanted to say clogged in my throat. What was the point of reasoning with an animal? Seeing my silence, Eric thought he had won. A trace of smugness crept into his voice. He pressed on while the iron was hot.

You're Forever Mine

You're Forever Mine

Why do I still think that it was wrong for Dove? “I…” I hesitated to speak anything. I have made so many fake promises and didn’t want to add that number. But what could I do? “Max” her voice was almost ridiculing me, “What are you doing? You-- you literally gave her a fake hope?” I looked down and sighed. It wasn’t fake. I didn’t even bulge and didn’t even hesitate before saying it. It was like… it is a damn truth. There was no hesitation. “I… I didn’t give her a fake hope…” I looked at her and sighed. “You won’t understand but… I… really do”

The Un-Stereotypical Life of A Prince and A Heiress

The Un-Stereotypical Life of A Prince and A Heiress

It's amazing how she sees herself so differently when everyone around her dislikes her. "Hate to break it to you, Claire, but I'm afraid not everyone who witnessed your delusion agrees with you. You see, no one is perfect, everyone has their flaws and weaknesses. And honey, those who brag, don't have. If you keep saying how successful, how rich and how awesome your life is, then darling, your insecurity is showing. And what's with that gold metaphor? Don't you know that nothing lasts forever? Gold or no gold, you must always know the difference between being honestly pure gold or just simply gold-plated. You must understand that not everything is set in stone, what you call gold right now is

Her Worst Nightmare

Her Worst Nightmare

'Why is that even funny?' 'Because, humans wouldn't know the truth if it hit them in the face like a tsunami,' he said. 'Truth is nothing but fiction, told by the greatest storytellers this world has ever known. Of course, they were also the best liars, but that's the real secret to great story-telling, isn't it? Possessing the ability to make people believe you. Stories become truths so powerful that people forget that the tale itself was so fantastical, it couldn't possibly have been real. Serpents and apples. Building a massive boat full to the brim with every species of animal known to man. Five thousand people turning up to your dinner party when you only have five loaves of bread and t
