The Alpha Forgets
The door opened and one of Tony’s administrative runners stepped in, younger, nervous, and trying very hard not to show it.
“Beta,” he said first, because wolves always started with the one they were least afraid of.
Tony held out a hand. “What.”
The runner crossed quickly, handing over a folded note.
Tony read it once. Then his mouth curved without humor. “Well.”
Decker went still. “What.”
Tony handed the note over. “Bennet.”
