I sat back and let the silence thicken. Then the next message came. “I don’t need your name to own you.” I blinked. My fingers hovered above the keyboard. For a second, I wasn’t VelvetMistress. I was Nova. And I didn’t know why that made me cold all over. I ended the stream five minutes later. No warning. No goodbye. I just closed the laptop. My apartment was still. Dim. The glow of the screen faded. I pulled off the mask first. Then the wig. My real hair clung to my temples. Sweat on my neck. I wiped it away with the back of my hand.

She only applied little mascara and a light pink lipgloss before she wore red heels to match her black skirt and white shirt with black jacket outward. With one last and final look at herself in the mirror, Anastasia hurriedly took the files needed before she quickly rushed out. A N N A I felt his hand placed on my waist inches away from my butt , he was a good dancer, i noticed that most of girls were staring at us , it seemed like they were jealous , i can't blame them , this man was everything a girl could dream of , he was rich , charismatic, and handsome , the magazines and websites said that he's a playboy , never been into a serious relationship he cuts my thoughts when he turns me around so my back was pressed against his chest , he whispers in my ear "Have you noticed that everyone is staring at you ?" Nathaniel asked "I am your Luna, Nathaniel Hunter, and as such it would be a great example if I left with you to war. You demand some respect, and I need to be respected as well and not just be termed as a barmaid. Besides, I want to see that thing fall to the ground with my very eyes and let's see if her alleged Majesty will save her from my wrath." Stella replied

He looked very worried. "What's wrong?" Stella asked in confusion. "Mrs. Milton, you need to go on the Internet as soon as possible!" Elvis prompted. Stella went to the library and turned on the computer. There were two videos on the computer screen. The first one showed Yvonne Harington forcing Natasha Griswell into the pit of snakes and their entire conversation was also recorded clearly. The other one showed a gun battle. Someone had rescued Natasha, who was barely alive, from the basement. Then, the camera turned to the corner and showed another Natasha charging and tackling a man to the ground.

My head whipped to it immediately “Nova Foster is playing-” “Playing what?” The suspense was killing, I was staring at the paper but couldn't see a thing “Medusa” he let out and a scream left my mouth before I could stop it. I didn't know when I jumped on him and he caught me lifting me off the ground and twirling me around.

I sucked in a breath as the dress fell to the floor, pooling around my shoes, leaving me standing in my corset with see-through cups scarcely shielding my breasts and white lace panties that barely covered my core. Leaning down, Dario pulled up the leg of his pants, revealing a knife holster. My breathing stuttered as he slid a knife with at least a nine-inch blade out of the holster. “This is tradition.” Holding my breath, I nodded. The blade sliced through the front of the corset, ripping the fabric between bones. The corset opened like a flower showing its petals. Slowly. A single letter appeared, traced in condensation. M. Her stomach dropped. “No,” she whispered. “No, no, no.” Her breath quickened. That same letter. The same mark carved into Sylvia’s skin. The same one she’d seen before. Her pulse roared in her ears. “You,” Fallon snapped, standing. “I know you’re there.” The air shifted. A figure moved behind the glass. Tall. Still. Jasper. Her chest tightened with anger and relief all at once.

She whispered, wiping at the tears that started falling down her face. "You could adopt." I told her. She looked up at me with sadness, guilt, and fear. Something I never saw on her face before. She let out a sigh and her hair turned white and scars appeared on her neck that traveled down and out of sight. I knew her, she was on many wanted posters, because she was helping a black market ring that was led by an unknown but dangerous man. I went to back away but she had a tight grip on my hand. "John Earkenhait." She said, looking at me.
