Chapter 13 Hadley Getting to the room I lock the door behind me before stripping off my clothes. I head into the closet, and take out a loose fitted top that reaches just below my ass. I get comfortable under the covers, mulling over the day’s events. Avery’s open personality relaxed me into a false sense of security. I feel like there was a textbook that warned about ways in which people could manipulate you. I will not allow myself to get hurt again. I debated getting out of bed and just leaving right now. But I had no idea where I was, and my rash actions proved fruitless before. I’ll just sleep for tonight and insist on being taken into town tomorrow.

The first thing Nova learned about traveling beyond the kingdom was that it was nothing like the stories. The stories spoke of adventure. Of freedom. Of excitement. They never mentioned sore muscles. Ah yous should check it out too, come I’ll read it out to you, it’s great!” She clapped her hands in excitement. “No thank you, you know I don’t read romance,” He shook his head. “But it’s a unique one,” She protested, “A popular mystery/thriller writer is thrown inside her own novel! How cool is that?” “Hmm?” he raised his brows. “Did it pick your interest?” She wiggled her brows. “Ah, the guy has the same name as you, by the way,” She added.
