Ash owned the couch like a tiny ruler just back from war. He lay on his side, dinosaur T-shirt already stained with sauce, pillows stacked into a fort, little feet kicking at the air. The iPad leaned against the armrest, Zoe’s face filling the screen. Zoe’s curls were pulled into two buns on top of her head, like two glitter bombs about to go off. Behind her I caught a slice of Zach and Krystal’s place: white walls, expensive-looking decor, and something that looked like a mini bar, way too neat for regular humans.

As she stepped inside, her eyes fell on the couch, and her expression instantly changed. “Caleb Grant!” she yelled, her voice echoing through the room. “Ouch, Angry Bird, my ear’s going to burst!” Caleb exclaimed, emerging from the kitchen with a plate of pasta in hand and taking a bite of it. “What is this?” Hailey demanded, pointing accusingly at the couch. Caleb glanced at the couch and grinned widely. “Baby Angry Birds,” he stated, clearly proud of his handiwork. The entire couch was covered with small stuffed Angry Bird toys.

I said and she laughed. By the way, our couch is a sofa bed. We have three couches like this so maybe this is enough for us. When I finished turning the couch into a sofa bed, Jane, Gedie, Marielle, and Syrel immediately went to bed. I arranged the second one and this is for Caye, Lester, and Vincent. There’s no space left so I have no choice but to set up the third sofa bed as well. While fixing it, I was surprised that Gio helped me.

His pride and manhood was at stake, and knowing that Patrice got away from a known to be feared Alpha, is a kick to the ego. I yawned as I got up out of bed, I brushed my teeth and went downstairs. The kitchen was my first stop as I poured myself a bowl of cereal. I was still half asleep as I carried my bowl to the living room, I rested my bowl on the table and sat down on the couch. Or at least what I thought was the couch. "Why is the couch so hard?" I asked, wiggling my bum. "Maybe because it isn't a couch" Demetrius provided, I yelped as arms wrapped themselves around me.

It is going to be fine, it’s just for one night, how awkward can this possibly get? I make my way back into the room, and my eyes land on Jacob meticulously arranging the pillows on the couch. Curiosity gets the better of me, and I can't help but ask, "What's the plan with the couch?" Jacob looks up, a mischievous grin playing on his lips. "Well," he starts, "I thought I'd crash on the couch tonight, giving you the luxury of the bed." "Are you sure?" I question. The couch does not seem to be comfortable enough for him to sleep on it.

I switch off my phone and head to bed. I hear some noise and I stand up. I realize I had slept off almost immediately I laid on my bed. I check my clock to see its past 2 in the morning. I make my way downstairs to where the noise is coming from. My jaw drops to the sight of what is before me. Colton is making out with whoever the girl is on our couch, my couch. My favourite couch, the one I always sit while watching TV, the one I prefer more than any other couch, the one that makes me.... Okay I need to stop explaining the couch.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Flashback(4 years back): I was in my room more specifically sitting on the couch reading a new novel I brought in the book store on my way, with a nice cup of hot chocolate on the table in front of the couch. The novel was amazing and I couldn't stop but flip the page as soon as I ended one. That's when I heard the door knock. "Agh, I'm in the best part and a person is disturbing the mood. Who might this be." I said with an annoyed tone to myself followed by a sigh while closing the book.

All sides on the greenhouse is covered with glass walls, small trees and plants, some are indoors, some are flowers. The whole greenhouse was lit up with soft lights, I walked in the middle their a big L-shaped couch was presented. I looked up and it gives me a view of full moon and stars, so I thanked my stars and lay down on it, I was feeling a little cold, but shrugging that I lay down on the couch hugging myself, as a tear slipped from my eyes, by thinking the past events which brings me here.

There was no way out of this arranged marriage. We finished cleaning by the time the sun went down, finally relaxing into the comfortable couches in the living room and resting our tired limbs. There was still no electricity, but Nina started a fire in the fireplace and found a stash of candles, which illuminated the lodge and created a cozy atmosphere. Soon, everyone had either retired to their rooms to get some sleep or had fallen asleep right there on the couch. I looked over at Nina, who was nestled into a large armchair with a book in her lap and her feet curled up on the couch like a cat. She had fallen asleep at some point while she was reading, and the book was beginning to slip out

I took in the sight of Noah’s warm and welcoming apartment. The walls were painted cream and there was a couch of the same color, only a one or two shades darker. A brown table stood in front of it, three books piled neatly on it. I was not much of a reader but admired those who loved to get whisked to unknown lands by books. Three art frames were pinned to the wall, right above the couch. I admired the beautiful lamp on a stool near the couch. You could see the kitchen area with everything in order. Had Noah arranged everything because I was coming over or was he always like that? I hoped I’d have the chance to find out some day.
