Novel Game Novels & Stories

Dear Reader Thank you for reading the first chapter of the book called, Gamble With My Heart. Gamble With My Heart was originally written as an Interactive Story Game. I am in the process of adapting it into a novel form. The original version contains a great deal of dialogue to fit the platform for which it was intended. Though you can enjoy the story in its interactive format too as currently published. (eg when Damon speaks, the format will be as this: Damon ~ “Evening Amber.”)

The president waved at all of them and people were swooning and fainting. The man turned his long jacket turning with him and making his way into the building. The door closed with a loud BANG. “Is that it?” she asked. “Well they won’t show us the meeting if that is what you’re asking” Kieran replied. “Then what do we do now?” Danny asked. “We can try out that new game they made just for today” Clara said. “What is it about?” Danny asked. “A game skilled Tempans made just for the summit. You get transported into the game and fight against any leader of your choice”.

she said defeatedly while Jules quited down. "Falling game is a couple game. You need to actt like a real couple. Where a man chooses his partner among the participants, only days are given in the game. There are activities and attendance. There is a punishment for those who are not active or caynt follow the rules. The price is high but that game is very dangerous. They give letters to the people they choose to participate in ", she explains almost whispering to me. "I think they started giving the letters yesterday in the lockers", Jules inserts.

He relaxed completely, half-lying on the couch and playing a game. Lina teased him. "Hey, you're a social extrovert in front of others, but what's with this introverted energy when you're around us? Is the game so fun?" Toph was focused on the game and did not hear what she said. Renee chuckled. "Lina, just let him play! He recently found a new game that's just been released. It's even a fine art-style game! I might not know how to play it, but the graphics are beautiful!"

Shannon shook her head. "We never get much information. Just the profile of the people who will be playing the game and the goals the client wants to accomplish." "The client is a very high-profile hedge fund. They have a lot of money—billions—passing through their hands, so the CEO wanted to make sure he had a staff that worked well together to handle it all." "And?" She made a "come on" gesture with her fingers. "Jay Novak has been trying to plant a bug in your game to then allow him to access the hedge fund accounts once they loaded the game onto their computers."

Kiera lay flat on her stomach on the night-sky-themed bedsheet, a pair of glasses resting on the bridge of her nose as her eyes focused on the laptop screen before her. A string of strange code filled the screen. She paused and glanced at the old diary beside the laptop. She flipped to a new page and read the first line. ECHO, it won't just show what a person looks like; it reflects it. She paused, staring into nothing. Just then, a knock came at the door, followed by Victoria's gentle voice.

It made her lonely. “You want to play video games?” “Video games?” “Yeah, I got the new game called Demonyo* where you can choose a mage, a fighter, a deadeye, a rebel, and a wizard as your main character.” “You did? I heard about the game coming out, but I totally forgot about it.” “I just got it this morning, and I haven’t even opened the package yet. Truly free. Once upon a time, she stuck to a strict bedtime of 10:00 pm. Now, her schedule had completely flipped. Whether it was late-night gaming or binge-watching dramas—nothing was off-limits. Recently, a new video game based on classic literary works had taken the market by storm, gaining massive popularity both domestically and internationally. Angela, who had never touched a game in her life, decided—out of pure patriotic support for domestic products—to buy and download the game. Then, with a snack cart in tow, she entered the gaming room she had never once stepped foot in.
