Ian’s POV Two months later Layla Thompson — now Layla Lawson on paper — was one of the most completely unhinged women I had ever encountered in my life. I meant that as close to a compliment as I was currently capable of giving her. Two months. Two months of sharing a house, a bed separated by a pillow barricade, a kitchen, a dining table, a driveway. Two months of the particular experiment of existing in close proximity to someone you had decided you could not stand and discovering, gradually and against your will, that the situation was more complicated than that initial decision had accounted for.

Chapter 20 Layla’s POV I scrambled onto my hands and knees on the soft, plush mattress, my heart hammering against my ribs like a trapped bird. My entire body shook from the sheer, terrifying intensity of my own lust. Dropping my head onto a silk pillow, I arched my back completely, pushing my heavy, wide ass high up into the air. My thick thighs spread wide on pure instinct, opening me up completely to the man looming behind me. I knew this position left me entirely exposed.

It was also ironic that she was stuck in a harem for a man that seemed revolted by affection. Rebecca looked away. She went to rub her face to alleviate some of the burning, but she remembered she was wearing makeup just before she was about to mess up Yasmine’s hard work. She lowered her hand and clenched the dress’s fabric in her fists.

She pouted. “I'm leaving…" I knew I sounded awkward as I turned on my heel. “I won't allow you in again, so don't show your face . I want you to stay away from Nathan. You have no connection whatsoever—” Her sharp, indifferent tone of voice stopped me. “Why do you hate me so much?" I blurted. *** Layla I truly shouldn't fall for his innocent eyes. Those innocent eyes had made me miserable once before. But those same innocent eyes had stared into mine and my legs had melted underneath me, those same innocent eyes had looked beyond me and seen my darkest secrets …another part of decided to betray me.
