Chapter 5 Getting out of the bathroom I am relieved to see I am alone and the door had been closed. I am tempted to get back in bed, just close my eyes and let sleep take me as I am still in pain and tired but decided that I needed to get “the fuck up out this bitch”. She didn't even hesitate when she said, "I want to live with Mom and Jason." I suddenly thought of the video Jason Reed had sent me the night before. Apparently, they celebrated New Year's Day early and already had dinner together. With how happy they looked, they were like a real family of three. At the table, Nancy had frowned and said, "This is all Dad's fault! He makes us celebrate New Year's Day early every year."

I stared at it long enough to consume the thought that I made it this far. I read the chapter from the top and made sure there are less errors. The feeling was unexplainable. I did it. I finished the novel. I took a deep sigh of relief as I saved it and closed my laptop. I stared at the view- mountains, big trees, green valleys, the lake, children playing with their kites-a home. While enjoying the view, a van suddenly stopped in front of our house. I waited until I saw a familiar figure of someone-her dark complexion, her cury hair, and finally..her lovely face.
