Military Man's Second Chance

Military Man's Second Chance

*** Unbeknownst to Sarah, the man she still loved was pulling into his apartment complex on the other side of the city, exhausted after a hectic shift. Thank God I decided to relocate closer to work, he realized. I can’t imagine driving more than ten minutes after the night we just had. He parked his truck and wearily climbed the stairs to his apartment door. Once inside, Tim kicked off his shoes, then wandered down the hall to the bathroom. Fifteen minutes later, he was standing in front of his refrigerator in his sweatpants, trying to decide whether he had enough energy left to cook himself something to eat. A random thought popped unbidden into his tired mind and set every nerve ending al

The VAMPIRE'S embrace

The VAMPIRE'S embrace

She knew that they were in trouble. But just as she thought things couldn't get any worse, something strange happened. Steve's eyes turned dark, and his canines grew longer and sharper. He took a step forward, and the man stumbled back in fear. "You...you're a vampire," the man stuttered. Steve bared his teeth, his eyes gleaming in the darkness. "And you're in my territory," he said. The man turned and ran, disappearing into the shadows. Steve turned back to Celess, his eyes returning to their normal color.

DIRTY MAFIA

DIRTY MAFIA

Blood, bruises, broken bones—pain was written all over them. One of the men, barely conscious, pleaded— “Please… kill us… or let us go… just end this pain…” Daniel walked toward him slowly. Then, without a word, he pressed his shoe against the man’s face and crushed it down. “You should’ve thought about that,” Daniel said coldly, “when you drugged my love.” The man trembled and pointed at another— “I didn’t do it! He told me to! It was him!” Daniel turned. That man.

My Bestie’s Dad Likes Me Wet

My Bestie’s Dad Likes Me Wet

Five-hundred pages of filth turned into a weapon. The perfect Poetic justice for chasing me through the city like a deranged bloodhound. My heart hammered so hard I almost laughed. Wasn’t this the part where heroines in books pulled some badass move? Yeah, well—I was no mafia queen. I was Nova, whose emergency plan consisted of “call 911 and maybe throw stationery.” “Why are you following me?!” Her lips curled. “Why do you think?” The way she said it made my stomach flip. If only she knew how chaotic and filthy my thought process was. I’m sure she wouldn’t have asked what I was thinking at any given time.

The Mafia's Angel

The Mafia's Angel

"It’s double now, starting from today. Your card is upgraded too. And here is the latest phone and the play station you wanted will be installed tomorrow. The books I ordered for your new semester reference are on the way from London, special editions. And so is your laptop. Tell me if you need anything okay". The man caressed his cheeks for a while before putting up his stoic expressions again. The boy took the envelope silently with the latest mobile and kissed his cheeks as his goodbye before leaving the car. A few steps away, his own black Bentley were parked by one of the guards with a driver. And he knew he doesn’t need to turn back to take a last look because the owner would have been

The Ascension

The Ascension

Ley nodded in amusement. Before he could go out, the maid in-charge of him asked whether he would be back before lunch or dinner and he shook his head. He had no plans to return until he secured a half year addition to his lifespan. … When the strange man left by walking through the wall, Nathan Garcia was left dumbfounded as he couldn’t fathom how a human could accomplish that. Then again, the person might not be human at all. ‘Hey, I was the one who brought you out the bathroom when you collapsed. No homo though. I was more interested in this book,’ explained the other man.

Quite the unique story in this website. I have read until chapter 50, it's a nice fantasy that is also like just a slice of life, at times heavy, at times just like a breath of fresh air. Only problem is the expensive chapters. Good work though.

The Man Behind Everything

The Man Behind Everything

He collapsed on the sand, convulsing, the stench of urine carried far on the wind. The party crowd that had gathered to watch earlier stood rigidly, not daring to breathe. They finally understood something. The man they had laughed at as a kept husband was the head of the Thornes, someone they weren't even qualified to approach! I held Luke close and spoke gently. "Luke, don't be scared. I'm here. No one will ever bully you again. I promise." Luke clung to my neck and nodded hard, letting out a small, muffled sound.

I Was Written to Be His Forgotten Wife

I Was Written to Be His Forgotten Wife

[Lena’s POV — The Evening | After the Office | Mancini Manor] I stepped out of the car beside Salvatore. Somehow, this man had followed me all the way back to the manor. I had spent the entire day at the office thinking about my work, the new project, the suspicious numbers, and the fact that I had finally found something that belonged to me. For the first time since entering this ridiculous novel, I actually had a plan, work, earn money and build my own life.

The Man Who Was Supposed To Die

The Man Who Was Supposed To Die

I sat in the chair nearest the door because sitting nearest the door felt like the right instinct, and I waited, and the house waited around me, and nobody spoke. Then the front door opened. The man who walked in was tall, not as tall as Damien but close, with lighter colouring and a face that shared certain features with Damien's the way different editions of the same book share a cover. You could see the connection if you were looking for it. The jaw, the set of the eyes, the particular way he held himself like he had grown up being told he was important and then at some point stopped believing it. He was maybe thirty. He was wearing a jacket that had been expensive once and was not anymor
