Promised to the Alpha

Promised to the Alpha

My thinking is that I add an authors note a the end of 'book' 1 so to speak and re-write the synopsis to advise any new readers that it will be 2 books in one. Alternatively, the other idea I had was to just have a longer book, but I don't want the length to scare off new readers. Thanks in advance! :)

So if this is Book 1 and 2??? What and where is the second book. I’ve read until chapter 59. The comments at the end asking about when the next chapter will be posted are all from 2months ago. Is this it?

This book is an excellent read so far but it is supposed to be book 1 and book 2. There have been no updates on this story in a long time, that is true. Has anyone found out if anything is wrong with the author? It should be one of the questions asked.

When He Threatens The Rich Girl

When He Threatens The Rich Girl

"Ahh! Yeah, I remember how's your novel going on? Are you planning to put it as an entry for this coming International Contest?" I took my laptop, open it and handed it to her. " Look, it's kind of plain right now. I don't have any inspiration at the moment." She took my laptop and read my outline and prologue. The genre of my novel is Drama and at the moment I can't feel too much drama and that is why I barely have something to write on. After reading my outline, she looked at me and smiles awkwardly while closing my laptop, I knew it. "Uhm, you can still work on it, right? I mean it's okay but it's a little bit too plain if you'd ask me."

I can, however, help you continue developing your original novel in smaller installments or scenes. Here’s the next scene of Chapter 46 (Part 2) in the same style and formatting you’ve requested.

Become a mother in one night

Become a mother in one night

Some time ago, Michelle pondered a fascinating question. If she were to find herself within the world of a book, would the plot still unfold according to its original outline? And if it did, would it adhere to the author's initial summary or to the detailed narrative she, as the writer of this new version, had envisioned?

Sometimes it’ll be quicker and sometimes it may be slower, depending on how many books we have under review. In the world of traditional publishing, you can wait months – sometimes years – for your book to be published. We move much faster than that. We know that you are eager to hear if your book will be accepted, but we expect and appreciate your patience during this process. For every book, we will read the first 10 chapters before we decide if the book is up to our standards or not, taking into account all aspects of your story, such as background setting, character, plot twists, etc. This is why it’s vital that you submit a detailed outline with your application: we need a strong sense

Great explanation, thank you very much for sharing this guide with us authors. It's very helpful & will allow authors to understand what they're getting into, if they decided to become a GN author they're question we'd ask & answer we'd like to hear. This book guide is very excellent dear editors.

Answered a lot of questions I didn't even know I had, and the main one I tracked this down for. Just wish that when I submitted a book for the first time that this was a suggested read, as it would streamline a lot. Glad this exists, just wish I knew sooner.

Dark Secrets and Dangerous Love

Dark Secrets and Dangerous Love

She had savings as well, but those had also been slowly decreasing month by month. When she pulled up her book outline, she started making notes to work through the plot holes she had come across as well as the backstory of each character. She had just started writing the first few pages, but her mind was elsewhere. After re-reading what she wrote, she thought that with some adjustments, she would have something to be proud of. Judging by the storyboard she had created, it was going to take her a long time to write the whole novel. She worked for a couple of hours, only stopping for a few moments to watch the sun as it rose from behind the building across the way and illuminated the trees in

Mr. Writer's Lovers Block

Are you starting to crave something? Then he sends another. [Oh, sorry, my bad. You're not a girl, hahaha.] When I recover, I will cut off his head once he returns. I didn't reply to him since he's just going to tease me again. I close the app and decided to create an outline for the following manuscript for presentation. Arthur keeps bugging me anyway. I put my phone down and open my laptop. What should I write this time? After the computer turns on, I open the word app and start to create an outline. I finish the anatomy for the idea, but there is still no content.

Oh no! I reach the late chapter. Please upload!! Your story is fascinating to read every passing second. I hope you put back the remaining chapters you remove, the last time I saw this story has 25+ chapters before you remove them for revision. I'll be patient. I love the chemistry of the character

Hi Author, I hope you are feeling well. I want to say that I enjoy this book. I have fun reading it. Please be healthy, ok? I have enjoyed all the season so far. I love the bickering of Kofi and Arthur. Although some BS is too short for me, I know you are restricting it because of the contest. GL.

Stricken Hearts

He just wanted to freely write and publish his works, gather even a little audience to hear their feedbacks but what he didn't expect was to receive a lot of support, for his stories to be liked by millions of people. He grunted, feeling the massive headache once again. He is due to write yet another novel and he can't think of a solid story plot. No characters, no opening lines, just nothing. He is frustrated as the publishing company he's working under in had been asking for him an outline, and they want him to write over 400K words. Jake can easily do that, only if not for the new rules applied.

I also found myself so deathly afraid that I immediately closed her files as I read them because I just read some murder scenes in them. Her every word still resembles a good artist. And to be honest, the novel that she was writing right now is more powerful and engaging to the readers, it was even more realistic, except for the fact that it was filled with murky darkness. I also remembered way back that she had submitted her outline to me and asked for my approval, and I sealed it enthusiastically seeing how lovely her next novel would be. Her initial plot was a sad romance novel, but as the chapters progressed, I started seeing murderous crimes and devastating death that was already out of

Frequently Asked Questions

I've always found outlining a novel to be like sketching a map before a grand adventure. Some writers swear by detailed chapter-by-chapter breakdowns, but I prefer a looser approach—starting with the big emotional beats. What’s the core conflict? Who changes the most by the end? I jot down key scenes that feel vivid in my head, like the inciting incident or a heartbreaking betrayal, then weave connective tissue between them. Tools like the 'snowflake method' help, but honestly, my outlines live in chaotic sticky notes and voice memos. The trick is staying flexible; if a character surprises me mid-draft, I let the outline bend.

For structure, I lean into tropes as scaffolding. A hero’s journey or three-act framework isn’t cliché—it’s a playground. In my last project, I twisted a detective noir plot into a sci-fi setting, which kept me grounded while allowing wild deviations. I also leave gaps intentionally; discovering how a subplot resolves during the actual writing is half the fun. Outlines aren’t contracts—they’re guardrails against aimlessness. If I ever feel stuck, I revisit the protagonist’s deepest desire and ask: what’s the messiest way they could fail to get it?
