Jacob laughed. “I’ll kick your ass too!” I said as I glared at him. “Kris! We have one more surprise for you.” Penny yelled from behind my front desk. “What?” I looked confused. She walked out carrying a massive book. I recognized what it was right away. It’s the type of book that you use for a portfolio. “You got me a new book?” “Kinda.” Penny showed me the cover. It had a Black Moon with two wolves howling. The leather was fresh as I could smell it. Alec took the cover and opened it for me.

Penny finally turns and sees a huge birthday cake lit with candles pushed to the center in the darkness. Penny's friends hold her hand and bring her to the center of the room. The lights of the venue were lit again and everyone cheered for Penny to cut the cake. Penny awkwardly smiles and blows the candles. All clap and scream happy birthday and she smile at all of them. But soon her smile falls and eyes goes wide when she sees a glimpse of the man she suspected could be behind her few minutes ago. She sees him smirk at her and she whispers his name to herself

Penny didn’t understand what secrets the pup talked about, but it was a big, big one, or lots of little ones. She was getting tired and hungry now. The corridor led to lots of stairs. Penny didn’t like the stair. It scared her that she might fall. So she did the butt bump down on them. She sat on the first seat and then slip one stair at a time down the stairs. The corridors turned to a cave of some sort with rough walls, roots, and cobwebs all over the place. But there were glowing lights that were dim, but she could see. Penny had no clue how long had passed. That happened when she talked to people like the old pup.

I'm Penelope Adams.” He stood up and offered her a handshake. “Wilson Moriarty,” he said and Penny shook his hand, “Here is your seat. Welcome to Dawnat.” Her eyes glanced at the seat beside him and she smiled, “Thank you.” The woman at the other end didn't bother talking to her and so, she didn’t bother striking a conversation.

Penny saw his blood-stained clothes and his pale face, which was devoid of color, making him look like a living dead. “You're wearing a hospital gown. There's no hospital nearby. How did you end up on Mount Blackath? Do you know this place is very dangerous? It's cold now, and the poisonous snakes and beasts are all hibernating. Otherwise, a delicate young man like you would definitely be gnawed to the bone!” Penny chattered on. However, her clear voice, coupled with her big eyes, made people feel no malice at all, almost as if she were an innocent little white rabbit.
