It's coz of something else. "Ok. Be safe, big bro." Peter said with a small smile. "Hmmm," Phoenix nodded. He walked to the table and waved at them before light covered him and he vanished. Now that he was gone, Peter's smile vanished. He turned to face his little sis. "I'm gonna read you something very intriguing." He sat beside her on the bed and took out a red book written in a strange language. Seeing the book, she immediately sat up. "You're not gonna read me that, are you?" she asked with a shaky voice.

And a team of pr⁠ofes‍sion‍al⁠ merc‍enaries c⁠losin​g in. I loo​k‌ed at Peter. He was already hovering o‍ver his laptop whi⁠ch he had perc‌h​ed on a stack of rot‍ting hy⁠mnals. "P‌eter the Ghost. You⁠ sai⁠d it was risky. Yo‌u said it would light a flare in the dark.⁠"

Peter tapped on the door once before coming in, not waiting for Anthonio's invitation. Anthonio hid the document under some papers. “You should wait for my answer before coming in.” He cautioned. “You don't bother with those things.” Peter took a seat facing him. “I do now.” Anthonio placed his hands on the desk covering the exposed part of the document that the papers couldn't cover. “What do you want?” “I heard you invited some CNS workers over to Sheinds Palace.” Peter went straight to the point. “Yeah.” “Why?” “Are you questioning me now?”

02 Peter's currently sitting on his bed while reading a book. He's entertaining himself at the same time thinking if he should follow Rave's opinion. "Go try befriending him. He looks like a good guy." Peter sighed at that. He really do but good guys scares me, Peter thought. He's not really into befriending with good guys since he knew that he can't return the treatment. He's not rude and he's not good—he's in the middle, as what he presumed. He's not interested with the rude ones either, in short, he's not befriending with anyone just for the sake of bond or entertainment.

I swear I could feel Cameron holding his breath. Peter blinked, shrugged, then crossed the room. The sound of a zipper. The rustle of a backpack. The clack of a laptop setting down on the desk. Bingo. I tried to shift, just enough to see his screen through the reflection on the metal desk lamp. It flickered to life—dark background, weird lines of code, then a folder popped up. “Footage_Drafts.” Oh. My. God. My pulse spiked so fast it hurt. I was two seconds from crawling out and smacking the laptop shut myself, but then Peter started typing, fast. Like his fingers were on fire.

Julian squealed, laughing despite himself as Caesar carried him back to the bed. ***** Peter tiptoed into Enzo’s study, holding a steaming mug of coffee. The man was always buried in work, probably to avoid him. “Hey, old man. Do you ever take a break?” Peter asked. Enzo didn’t look up, his eyes glued to the screen as he dug into the information Caesar had sent him. “It’s so annoying when you ignore me,” Peter pouted, placing the coffee beside him. “I brought you coffee, though. What are you working on? I want to help.”

"That will be easy… and with you by my side, we'll be able to tresspass and get the weapons. Once we do, we get out, find those two brats, capture them and then the government returns the weapons and everything goes back to normal.. " Peter finally stands on his feet and slowly dusts himself up, staring warily at Cassandra who was watching his every move like a hawk, knows quite well that his initial plan was to run Away from her. She and Peter have been friends long enough to realize that peter was a coward. When it came to hacking, and experiments, he was a pro at things like that, but he was just too cowardly, and things like going for missions which Cassandra did was not in his vocabular

I opened my eyes to see Peter focused on his book. "What are you reading?" I asked, glancing at the book in his hands. Peter held up the cover for me to see. "Um, it's just some light reading. Nothing much," he said with a smirk. It was a book on ancient rituals and protective magic. This was a far cry from what most people would consider light reading. But, then again, Peter wasn't like most people. "I should’ve known. I should've known," I said with a chuckle, shaking my head. "You can take the man out of the curse, but I guess you can’t take the curse out of the man."
