At first, I thought the food at The Eden would be mostly vegetarian, so my surprise was enormous when on my first day at the clinic, the delivery man had given me several containers with different foods such as salad, macaroni and cheese, corn, and fried chicken.
Kristy and George had explained to me that although the shelter offered its employees a mostly vegetarian menu, animal protein was consumed at least once or twice a week, products that were provided by local farms in Red Falls.
