Underwater

Underwater

Hearing this made her decide on certain things. "We need to temporarily lay off the kitchen staff. Elaine and I can handle the cooking. I might send for victoria if things get a bit crazy. We also need to monitor our water. Instead of drinking the water from the faucet, we should buy bottled water, not in plastic bottles but in glass bottles, to be safe. It would be a serious inconvenience, but it is the safest option," she linked him, thinking of preventive methods they could devise to stop whoever poisoned Luna Amber from poisoning the rest of the family. Ethan agreed with her directive. It also meant it would be tedious, so he made adjustments.

Excellent work! Well written and beautifully developed. A true love story (no physical or psychological abuse being sold as 'love'), solid & charismatic main couple, and plenty side characters with interesting storylines. One of my favorite books, and one of the best books in this platform!

Dark Water

Dark Water

It had been one thing he had failed to convince them of, but out of fear of reprieve they obeyed the command to wash at least once a week, albeit barely. "So that's how you managed," Lloyd hummed "it didn't seem plausible that sea water could be used all the time." Nathaniel grunted in response. Sea water was ideal for washing clothes, or at least the best they could get. Using the hard-won rain was wasteful. It was far easier to treat for cooking and drinking than the salty brine, often tasting better too with a crisp, mineral tang. Despite the efforts, sea water was rarely rid of the salty aftertaste.

Fire and Water

Fire and Water

“We are on new ground here. Nothing I’ve read would provide any kind of preparation for this. No one but a god has ever had the ability to manipulate the elements before now. Everything is pure experimentation.” Eliza nodded as she digested this. Then a light flash of revelation filled her eyes. “Water is made up of air particles,” she mumbles to herself. “What?” asked Christian. “Water . . . it’s one-part hydrogen, two parts oxygen,” she explained. “It might make sense then that with James as the element of air, he could actually connect somehow with you and maybe even . . . make you stronger.” “It’s very possible,” Blakeney commented thoughtfully.

Fall in love inside a novel!

Fall in love inside a novel!

She instructed her best friend and rushed to the bathroom. "What's this?" Tasha found something on her desk. she picked up the booklet and turned the pages, "A new novel?" she exclaimed. "Wait!" Arielle shouted from the bathroom, she had the habit to write it down instead of typing her stories, she used her gift to write 2-3 chapters of her new novel last night before going to bed. She rushed out with the toothbrush still on her hand. "Give that to me." "Nope. You're writing a new novel? A romance novel at that?" Tasha ran around the room reading the notes.

Dream World

Dream World

He told them. Although Iero doesn’t understand what movies are, he knows what are novels as he read one before which was brought to him by Mahi one time when Mahi visited him when they were in their teens. “Really?!” he exclaimed as his eyes widened in surprise as he looked at Hierro. Hierro thought that even if novels are just fictions, fictions are also based on real life. “Yeah.” he nodded in affirmation. If there were no other ways down below, where would the water of the lake come from? He thought as he stared at the lake.

The Ice Wolf

The Ice Wolf

The orb of night welcomed her in, basking her in soft, soothing rays. Nueva's skin burned from the freezing water's bite, and goosebumps covered her naked pale skin. When she reached the middle of the waterhole, she sat down on her knees. Nueva shaped her hands into a cup and filled it with the clear liquid. She drank greedily. The cold water spilt over her heaving chest and shivering form. She laid down when her hands were empty, letting the moon water submerge her body. Nueva's hair floated out like a royal white Japanese folding fan around her skull.

When the moon fell

When the moon fell

Children’s faded handprints still stained the dusty windows. Something about it made her chest hurt unexpectedly. A faint rushing sound suddenly reached her ears. Water. Nova’s pace quickened instantly. She pushed through thick brush until the forest finally opened toward a narrow creek winding through the ruins. Thank God. Nova dropped to her knees beside the water carefully and checked it first. No visible contamination. Honestly, in this world that counted as luxury. She cupped cold water into her hands and drank greedily. The icy water soothed her raw throat immediately.
