A perfect opportunity to execute Step 3: #MakeTheSuperstarJealous. She smiled. “Sure. I’ll go.” After the call, she opened the university website and found the official announcement. She took a screenshot of the poster and stared at it for a moment, her mind already spinning with possibilities. The poster she screenshotted read: [ WEEKEND CAMP FOR GRADUATING STUDENTS “Time to Breathe. Time to Remember.” Where: Whispering Pines Eco Park When: Saturday–Sunday | 2 Days, 1 Night

Elena saw it. Future Elena’s laughter echoed in her memory. Lucas sat. “Mom?” “No.” He stared. “I didn’t ask yet!” “I know.” “That’s unfair.” “Ask.” He slid the brochure toward her. SUMMER DINOSAUR CAMP — THREE WEEKS Elena stared. Three weeks. Away from home. No parents. No Blackwood security. No cosmic supervision. Lucas smiled nervously. “Can I go?” Elena opened her mouth. Every instinct screamed no.

Onyx asked, his brow furrowing with confusion as he glanced between Jade and me. I took a deep breath, preparing to explain. "It's a compulsory camp for college students in my level," I began, trying to keep my explanation simple yet clear. "Basically, it's like this big gathering where students from different colleges come together for two weeks of activities, workshops and bonding. They organize it every year to help us develop teamwork, leadership skills and just to have fun, I guess." I continued, "It's kind of like a break from our regular routine. Plus, they throw in some cool outdoor activities like hiking, campfires and stuff. It's not all lectures and seminars, you know."

the precocious ten-year-old pouted, “I don’t want to spend the summer going to the same old camps at the museums here. They’re boring.” Shuffling through the printed pages her daughter had printed and collected of youth outdoor programs available in summer Moab, Teri chuckled. “Kayaking. Ziplining. Rock climbing. I can see you have something more dramatic in mind.” She sobered, looking at the descriptions, mostly of outdoor camps many with camping, some four or five days long. “Kiddo, most of these are overnight camps. None of your friends or anyone we know will be there.” Zoe rolled her eyes, sighing. “Mama, there’ll be other people there. I’m not like you. I can always find someone to hang

“Not waiting for dessert?” “It’s later. They’re going to have a campfire and we’re having s’mores.” Steph gave an exaggerated moan. “Marshmallows, graham crackers, and gourmet dark chocolate.” Fluttering her eyelashes, she added, “Be still, my heart.” “That sounds like fun.” Anne walked over and flopped down on a chair at one of the small tables. Of course, she really didn’t know. During the summers when Christa and Steph went off to summer camp, Anne’s parents had made sure she attended fat camp. S’mores were most definitely not on the menu, but a weeklong course of intimidation and shame had been enough to ruin her appetite.

The next morning, we packed and hiked back down the mountain. Matt and I were well aware of our newly confirmed terms and conditions. At the summer camp, there were 5 lodges holding about 20 boys each. And then the main lodge for parties and events. Beside a small lake

Maybe I was destined to feel this only for him. "Well we have to leave you now, Joshua has to open up the salon and I have to meet with the real estate agency." Anthony said as he and Joshua got up. "Well see each other this weekend for camping, Summer you said you know a perfect spot." Huh, Summer had no clue, somehow I think she never even went camping. "Yes, my driver will pick us all up and drop us off." Summer said, her eyes shined as she looked at Anthony. It was either the shine of love or the shine of a hangover, either way it was nice to see.

So I just listened despite that I was very upset. "The Annual Camp begins on the fifth of next month. It lasts seven days, and for the whole of the week, you're going to be collecting seashells for our experiment every night, and you're also going to be doing most of the work, alongside the counsellors. The aim is to not let you enjoy the camping this time" Like I've ever enjoyed it? "Why don't you ask me not to come to the camp at all? I think that'd be a better, sweeter punishment" I said, trying not to show so much disgust.
