Great, our necromancer was Elon Musk. One of the good things about being in a fantasy world was that it lived up to the stereotypes. Our knowledge of video games and movies, which we had been (rightly) told would be of no practical use in the real world, helped us enormously here. It was a massive advantage to have played RPGs. We knew what to expect and how to dodge. That all went out the window if people started being innovative. You don’t innovate in the world of RPGs. You Skyrim, and then you stop. “But he didn’t bleed,” I said. “When you stabbed him in the head, nothing came out.”

I actually found a quasi-scientific study from Playboy magazine in the seventies which theorized a lot of what went on in humans was still tied to the evolutionary pre-history involving things like chemicals in our brains, hormones, pheromones and other subtle factors that skipped the logic centers of rational thought, making thinking secondary to chemicals. Still, it did start some ideas percolating in my head. If this was something Julia enjoyed fantasizing, could I do something to allow her to live the fantasy without having to undergo the reality. It might be fun on my part too. I wouldn't mind being the Masterful Slave Master she imagined in her fantasies. The one to ring her bell, to b

Everything. But the one I especially took interest in was the gaming center. I spent a great deal of time there, trying out all the games. " No, no, no! Don't die! " Xander murmured. I smiled smugly. " How did you learn like this?" Xander's asked, turning to me.

"So, you've never gone out with anyone before?" "Nope, I've pretty much dedicated my time to either the gang or having fun by myself, with guns, diet coke, or video games," I said, watching the lake, it was oddly peaceful for something that wasn't real. "What video games do you play?" "Apex legends, I used to play overwatch before they added satan herself, Skyrim, and Fallout 4." "'You can't stop the Octrain!'"

The thought brings a wry smile to my lips. Gradually, as I lose myself in the brushstrokes and colors, I feel the tension begin to drain from my body. The art is a balm, soothing the raw edges of my emotions and transporting me, if only for a moment, to a world beyond my own troubles. After the exhibition, I find myself drawn to a nearby bookstore, another haven in the storm of my life. Historical fiction has always been my weakness, especially when there’s a romance woven through the pages. There’s something about losing myself in another time, another place, that never fails to captivate me.

She didn't have any close friends either and slowly as time passed she became a 27 years old who stayed at home most of the time playing on the computer or reading in her library at home. Like any other day, Su Lan was lying in bed watching her favorite drama until she received a phone call. When video games were finally invented, I was almost half-insane because of those books. I was lucky I was able to get my hands on the different gaming stations since transportation between the realms was really taxing. I took a few steps before turning right and heading into my little haven. At the farthest wall was my whole gaming station. I had a big flat screen hangi
