Novels By Jane Austen Novels & Stories

“This is ‘Pride and Prejudice’ by Jane Austen. It’s a love story that many women adore.” Jack took the book and examined the cover. “It looks interesting. What else would you recommend?” The sales assistant continued selecting books, giving a brief description for each one. “Oh, and we also have some romantic adventure books, like ‘Treasure Island’ by Robert Louis Stevenson, which focuses more on adventure and pirates.” Jack listened carefully and selected several books with the assistant’s guidance. “I think she’ll like these,” he said, smiling. The sales assistant smiled back, growing a bit curious about the lucky woman who had managed to tie down a confirmed bachelor like Jack Colt.

I yelled out, more of a rebuke of his lasting presence in my head, than of the figure behind the door. Not long after his departing footsteps fell on the floor with a heavy thud, I heard an ecstatic voice downstairs. Since the maids were all gone. I could only make a guess…that blonde Lucifer. I searched for a book in one of my luggages that held the books that formed my mini library, and dug out Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice.

She slapped my arm. Laughing, I dodged her attacks and scooted closer to the bus window. “Enlighten me about this great Pride and Prejudice favorite of yours then.” “Don’t you underestimate my preference. It’s a Jane Austen Classic.” She boasted proudly. “Yeah? And then?” She sighed while my grin grew wider. I found it amusing that she’s getting all so fed up by defending her favorite novel. The more I looked unconvinced, she grew more frustrated.

novels,''I said bluntly without realising what I said. ''Ohh romantic nice choice..even I like to read something romantic..which author?''he asked standing up.His bare torso was giving my heart a tough time to pump. "Jane Austin''I told him my favorite writer's name.Actually the only name I remembered at the moment. "Good choice feminist ha.."he rummaged through book shelves . While he was searching for the book I lost myself in the song..but at the same time I was curious to know that he too like veteran Hindi songs.

Things at school have returned to normal, and Bane still abuses me, only he makes sure he does not hit my face, and if he does, it's only a slap, and Bane does not hit hard enough to leave a mark. I wander through the hall of the palace, going to the library. I finished my novel, and since I have nothing better to do, I plan to read my favorite book, The Pride and Prejudice, By Jane Austen; I have read it many times, and I love romance between Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy. It makes me wish that I could live in such a beautiful Novel; I long to be loved like all the characters I read about, but I know that it never happens for someone like me; I need to learn to accept that this is my life. What to say? "I think Charlotte Bronte based her poems and novels on how she and her sisters survived adulthood. The way she spun her works that have combined moral realism with gothic views was a reflection of how they grew up. Poor but with morals. A good example of that is Jane Eyre written in 1847. Sir." She licked her dry lips nervously. His eyes pierced her even more. She tried to suppress her shivers. Hoping it was the assessment he was looking for, she waited.

Jimmy said to Susan. She laughed. “She’s going to be a famous writer. She’d better have some opinions on literature.” “Fine,” Kimia glared at me. “Jane Austin. She had some great leads.” “Darcy was an asshole to Elizabeth, Bingly let himself be talked away from Jane, Wickham is just a bastard, Wentworth treated Anne like shit because she refused him as a teenager, Edmund Bertram was obsessed with the pretty new girl and forgot about Fanny, Ferras fell in love with Elanore when he was engaged to someone else, Brandon was still hung up on his dead ex, and let’s face it. Nobody cares about Northanger Abbey.”

The one thing that she turns to when she needs an escape from her reality at the moment. “You must have something.” Gabe prombts her. “An old, worn out copy of Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë that I keep in between my mattresses so that no one will find it and take it from me. Reading that book always brings me comfort.” And gives her hope. It makes her feel so much better to read it.

Her warning trails over the door as she walks away. I sniff a few times before reaching down to the scattered pieces of my favourite novel. It had taken a month of work in the cafe to get my hands on this book. And now nothing is left of it. Gathering all the bits of paper, I put them in the trash can. Goodbye, Jane Austen.

I swear that this guy moves like a ghost. I sat down on the couch, I realised that there was a book on the table. I took it and it was one of my favourite author, it was Jane Austen and it was a first edition. I can only wonder how much it must have caused. Pride and Prejudice will always be my all time favourite literature. All in all I can say that being married doesn't seem to bad from where I was standing.
