I just stand there , looking at him trying to figure out what he wants from me. “You are mine from now on , little one….No one can hurt you now , because…You are mine to hurt” the tears could no longer stay at bay and so they began to fall. I am his to hurt? No one can hurt me now , because he will be the one hurting me? What does it mean?! I begin whimpering as the tears fall , whimpering at the satisfaction that I see on his face when he sees me cry. An evil smirk resides on his face as he watches me break down.

I closed my eyes. The images rushed back. Flames rising high. Wolves screaming. Bodies on the ground. Then one figure standing in the middle of the chaos. A man. Strong. Proud. Covered in blood. My heart began to pound. I opened my eyes again. “I saw you.” Damon froze. “Me?” “Yes.” His brows pulled together. “What was I doing?” I struggled to answer. “You were fighting.” “That’s not surprising.” “No,” I whispered. “It is.”

“Then I will make them blind.” “Huh?” “Yeah,” he continued calmly. “Take away their sight so they won’t have to see in order to talk again.” She laughed harder now, clutching her stomach. “Unbelievable!” A small smile tugged at his lips. “I guess no reason again, right?” She looked at him then, really looked at him. The intensity in his eyes, the quiet fire there, the way his presence filled the room without effort. She fought the overwhelming urge to lean in, to close the small distance between them and kiss him again.
