Raina's point of view Immediately I stepped out of the Seer’s lair, I disguised myself and made my way straight to the palace. The moment I entered my chamber, I froze. Dorian was already there. “Dorian?” I breathed, my voice betraying my surprise. “Raina, where did you go?” he asked, his gaze sharp with curiosity, though weariness lingered beneath his eyes. “I’ve been trying to reach you, but every attempt failed. That’s why I went to meet the Seer,” I confessed.

However, her face was pale, and her eyes dim. At that moment, I wanted nothing more than to turn into a demon and drag this vile couple straight to hell. I waved my hands wildly in front of them, but it was useless. No matter how hard I tried, they couldn't see me. Oblivious, Christian and Mina remained curled up together, badmouthing me.

“Whatever, Mei. Just keeps the guy away from me. I'll do anything she asks.” When the front door shuts behind Mei, I slide into the leather club chair, where our visitors can't see me. I, however, have a full view of the front yard through the window. I see Mei trip down the stairs of the front porch. I shake my head at her clumsiness. I watch my mystery man, reach out to catch her elbow. I snarl with unexpected jealousy at his slight movement to keep Mei from face planting on the gravel at his feet.

☆☆SUMMER'S POV☆☆ I’d never been happier in my entire life than I was right now. Nothing could ever compare to the joy of seeing Hayden again. Absolutely fucking nothing. My Hayden was here with me. Alive. My soul snatcher. I hadn’t mentioned it, but my glasses flew off when Jake slammed me into the basement floor. Ever since then, the world had existed in grainy shapes and blurred edges. My vision wasn’t all that awful, but viewing the world through blurry pupils wasn’t exactly comforting either.

My legs gave out from underneath me, I tried to brace myself for impact against the ground, but instead my weak body was pulled into strong arms.
