There's a difference." "What difference?" "Trapped means there's no exit. Waiting means the exit exists, you just can't access it yet. Your brain is responding to the first scenario. But we're living in the second one. The door will open. We just have to be patient until it does."

I didn’t feel dead inside. My eyes close and my mind does something it hadn’t done in a few weeks. It starts creating a crime scene in my mind. I scream at myself to open my eyes and snap myself out of it. But it was like my mind had dragged me in and wouldn’t let me come back out , it was holding me prisoner in the scene.

"So you are thinking about me!" "You're constantly on my damn mind," he growled, sounding almost pained. "I can't escape you, no matter what I do. Your image is seared into my brain, printed on the backs of my eyelids. Our memories haunt me, stealing me away from myself at every turn." He exhaled heavily, as if suddenly overwhelmed. "Not even burying myself in work can fill the void you left inside me when you walked away."

I feel isolated, abandoned, unloved. But in my dream, everything felt different. In my dream, I belonged. I look down at my hands, trembling slightly. Can I trust my own mind anymore? And if I can’t... how will I ever get out of here?

[Evelyn’s POV] Son of a bitch!! What the hell is going on?! Oh God! I’m trapped! Please! Someone! Anyone! Help me!! Trapped. That was the best way I could describe the sensation that was being inflicted on me. I was trapped. Stuck inside my own mind with no means of control. I couldn't even bring myself to open my damn eyes. It was like someone had torn my body apart from my mind. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t get a single part of myself to move.

The more she stared, the effect seemed to increase by thousands of volts. "Aaaarrgghh! Nisa you're crazy. I'm crazy, there's no way you like him. He's a lunatic, a pervert, a destroyer and a bad influence on you," Nisa's mind screamed and cursed again. She seemed to have lost her mind. Nisa shook her head, "Hurry back home Nisa, you have to persuade him," again and again Nisa felt her brain getting short-circuited, how could the person she thought was a trouble-maker, a crazy man with no brains now secretly admire her.

"Fine, I'll go. I want to see what tricks she's up to!" Yoel stormed off, heading back to the basement. My soul floated behind him, following his steps. Back in that dark, damp room, I shivered. Even as a soul, the fear of being imprisoned was still deeply ingrained in my mind.

The world around me is distorted, like a funhouse mirror reflecting a reality that's not my own. I try to grasp onto something, anything, but everything slips through my fingers like sand. My memories, my identity, my sense of self – all of it is crumbling, leaving me with nothing but a hollow echo that whispers: 'You're not yourself. You're not yourself. You're not yourself.' As I sat in the therapist's office, my mind began to unravel like a thread pulled from a fraying seam. It had been years since this happened, so why did it come back? The last time it happened was years ago! Why? Why? Why? What does this mean now?

“I’m stuck here because of him. I can’t forget that. And I won’t forgive him for it.” Jennie’s smile fades a bit, and she looks at me seriously. “Just...try to keep an open mind, okay? People can surprise you.” “Yeah, well, he’s had plenty of chances to surprise me, and he’s only ever disappointed,” I grumble, before continuing. “I just...I don’t know what to do, Jennie. I feel trapped.” Jennie sighs and squeezes my hand again. “I get it, Luna. It’s like you’re stuck in a loop, and every time you think you’re making progress, something pulls you back.”

It's corrupted in your mind. You find yourself leaving a crowded room to stand alone in the dark because it's more comforting. You get addicted to escaping the pain because you can't reach for the surface. It's like standing in a quicksand and sinking in. At first you shout for help ,you struggle and try to get out. Then,you realize no one is around and no one is coming to save you. So you let it consume you. You wait for it to kill you like a disease. And sometimes,it whispers in your head to do the killing by yourself.
