They made a quick stop right past the nurses’ station, at the room where Liam and Walt were hating their hospital dinner, while Tom ate their jellies like a child.
“I can wash here,” said Jim.
“Okay, I’ll bring your clothes,” Silvia replied.
“And some real food, please,” begged Walt.
“Yeah, I’m starving,” said Jim.
“Be good boys and I’ll see what I can do,” Silvia said.
She’d noticed the way a young nurse had looked at Jim when they’d walked by, so on her way to Deborah’s room, she decided to try her luck. Bingo. The girl was a fan of the band and worked the night shift. It took her about ten seconds to accept to changing Jim’s bandages in the musicians’ room.
