Two Brothers. One Soulmate . Chapter 51: spot spot spotlight . When the day finally ended Luca and Jaden were able to catch a bus into town after narrowly missing an ambush by the bully squad who had chased them down the street. They made it onto the big steel vehicle just before the doors shut and it took off leaving the bullies on the sidewalk cursing up a storm. The two boys ended up laughing in their seats at the end of the bus. “Did you see their faces,” laughed Jaden.

“I wanted to destroy you…I was so envious” “I know. It’s all right.” I grab the back of his neck and push my forehead against his. “It doesn’t matter now. If I make it through this war, we’ll fix it, okay? Come here,” I pull my brother into my arms, thumping him on the back, before letting him go. “Can I tell you something?” He gives me a curt not, averting his gaze. “You won’t tell father?” He shakes his head. “My mate’s name is Willow. She’s beautiful, smart, and so strong. And she drives me fucking bug nuts.”

“We caught her trying to use the same poison on Ciara. That’s the truth, every bit of it. Now it’s up to you to decide what you’re going to do with it.” My brothers exchanged glances broken, betrayed, furious. For the first time in our lives, we weren’t just sons. We were soldiers preparing for war.

“I could have done that, but you've complicated my life by bringing that girl to this pack. Cassandra almost broke up with me today because of her. She needs to go.” “You don't even love Cassandra,” I scoff. “What are you talking about? You wouldn't care if she broke up with you.” “I don't care what you think,” he says, “that girl needs to go.” “What is it with you, brother?” I ask. “You need to mark her or chaos will befall the pack. The bond is unstable without your mark.” “If you're so pressed, go ahead and mark her a second time,” he says. “What is wrong with you?” I snap, smacking the desk. "You have to accept the bond and mark her. You can let me have her all to myself after that."

"Don't hurt me." He pulled back slightly, looking almost offended. "Hurt you? I would never hurt you, Raven. You're the only one I truly care about in this wretched family." His fingers traced the line of my jaw, down to my throat. I swallowed hard. "Our stepbrothers have poisoned your mind against me, why did you mess everything up that night hmm?" he continued, his voice soft but edged with something dangerous. "Cassian, Damien, Elias—they've always been jealous of our bond. But I'll always be the brother who takes your side. The one who doesn't bully you for being different."

“I want to hit this fucker hard and fast and take away everything he’s ever worked for. I want to send the word out that no one touches what’s mine. Timothy Flynn made his last mistake this morning when he took my woman.” Roman thrust his hand into the circle the five of them made. Sazon put his hand on top of Roman’s, soon Barshan and Yuri’s hands joined the others. Finally, Mikial’s hand topped theirs. Then all five chanted, “We are brothers by choice, blood has brought us together and holds us strong. Brothers we are and brothers we will always be.”

DARE'S POV The rain hammered the windshield as my driver navigated the winding roads toward Finn’s secluded townhouse on the outskirts of London. My blood still boiled from the confrontation in my father’s study. Victor’s threats echoed like a death knell— send her away—and Julian’s smug face haunted every shadow. I needed clarity, strategy, and someone who understood the machine I was trapped in without being another cog in Victor’s wheel. Finn Carlisle had been that someone since Spain. My right hand. My brother in arms through the darkest deals and sleepless nights. He opened the door before I could knock, his sharp eyes reading my expression instantly.

Alpha Tim asked, pulling me away from my phone. “Yes. I had someone I thought might help.” My words were distracted. “But he wanted to wait for his true mate and he didn’t want me to resent him later.” The alphas all nodded their heads. I slid my phone back into my pocket and tucked that information away. I told them about Nina and Nadine. About Vince. Brandon. And finally, I got to the end. “They call themselves the Brotherhood of Blood.” Thoth stiffened beside me. But my dad furrowed his brow. “Who does?”

Leo asked, hopeful our relationship could return to how it used to be. "We never stopped being cousins, Leo. You've helped me a lot," I told him, emphasizing our unbroken bond. His face lit up with a happy smile, and he hugged me. I couldn't help but let out a growl, but Leo didn't seem to mind and continued the embrace. Despite my initial resistance, I had to admit it felt good to have a brotherly figure around. Ever since I was forced to take my older brother's life, I've felt the absence of a sibling deeply. Leo has filled that void in his own way, making sure I never felt alone or missed having a brother.

roared Cyrus “Don't Brian me! I see my dead brother's throat ripped out every time I look at every single one of them! I'm not you! I can't just fucking forget just because it's my mate! I felt my brother fucking die! I felt his life slipping away and the bond I had to him as his brother snapped forever! I did!” Brian yelled with tears running down his face. His chest rapidly rose and fell and Cyrus didn't know whether Brian was angry or hurt. Maybe it was a little bit of both.
