******************************* Unknown's POV The small, dimly lit room was a sinister cocoon, its suffocating embrace forcing her further into the abyss of madness. Her hair hung in disheveled tangles around her face, bearing witness to the chaos that had overtaken her mind. Clutched in her trembling fingers, a piece of chalk became the instrument of her deranged artistry as she etched frantic patterns onto the unforgiving walls.

"You don't love Us?", Insane's eyes turned more Obsessive as it was changed, completely INSANE. "What?", Hearing the word 'US' confused him as he questioned her. Insane laughed loudly as tears spilled to the corner of her eyes as she questioned him, "You don't love ARIKA?"

He looks exactly like the successful businessman he is – powerful, confident, untouchable. But James is right. There's something in his posture that suggests he'd rather be anywhere else. I got dressed and when I finally returned, the woman was dressing, her earlier confidence replaced by a wary uncertainty. She knew she’d been a placeholder for a fantasy she couldn’t see. “You can see yourself out,” I said, my voice flat. She left without another word. The silence she left behind was immediately filled by the hum of my own preoccupation. An hour later I was in my study, the clay map Seraphina had created sitting on my desk. It was a childlike object, yet it held more power than any weapon in my arsenal. Razo stood before me, his expression grim.

I looked at Anu after coming on the earth back as she asked me, "Inaya, where are you lost? You haven't even touched your sandwich yet? What happened?" I just stared at her silently, having no answer to her question. I can't tell her about my condition, not now. If I tell her, she will eat up my mind more. I'm already losing my mind. I can't take this anymore. She clasped my face. "What happened, Inaya? Is everything fine?" She asked concernedly. No, Anu, no, nothing is fine. I'm going insane. Oh god, but how do I tell her? How do I explain to her?

The one you need to — have to — end.’ Her bitterness, her hatred and her wrath overwhelmed me. My fists clenched, my jaw locked, and my body trembled, not with fear, but with pure, consuming rage. Symptoms of the Madness affliction: heavy, lifeless eyes ringed with chronic bruise-like dark circles. Normally, I would have cowered beneath such a sublime presence, but holding his gaze, I glared right into his eyes.
